hackneyfox Posted 5 January 2011 Posted 5 January 2011 Houllier - another loss. Hodgson - another loss. Ancelloti - another loss. Grant - another loss.
Lichfieldfox. Posted 5 January 2011 Posted 5 January 2011 Not bothered as long as they do not come in for Sven........
Corky Posted 5 January 2011 Posted 5 January 2011 The only slightly realistic move for Sven is Aston Villa, and they probably won't approach him anyway.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 5 January 2011 Posted 5 January 2011 Bottom line is until he isnt our manager there isnt owt to worry about. Long live SVEN :sge:
Captain... Posted 6 January 2011 Posted 6 January 2011 Houllier - another loss. Hodgson - another loss. Ancelloti - another loss. Grant - another loss. If Hodgson goes, or Ancelloti (less likely) I would say MON would be a shoe in for either of them. Sven wouldn't leave for West Ham. Villa is the most likely to want and tempt Sven, but I can't see Villa forking out to pay off Houllier then compo for Sven, Chris Hughton is more likely to end up there.
Mack Posted 6 January 2011 Posted 6 January 2011 Allardyce will go to Wet Spam. Villa is a worry. The owners need to tie Sven to a longer contract as he is only signed until the summer so compo would not be huge if his head was turned.
stix Posted 6 January 2011 Posted 6 January 2011 Didnt Big Sven sign for 2 years? Im sure i read somewhere that it was a 2 year contract worth around £2million. May of dreamt it though...
Raj Posted 6 January 2011 Posted 6 January 2011 Houllier - another loss. Hodgson - another loss. Ancelloti - another loss. Grant - another loss. LEICESTER CITY FORUM. ???
Babylon Posted 6 January 2011 Posted 6 January 2011 LEICESTER CITY FORUM. ??? Don't start this again... I'm saying nothing
hackneyfox Posted 6 January 2011 Author Posted 6 January 2011 I don't think he has proved himself yet and nobody was interested in him pre season, but I agree that he needs to be tied into a longer contract. If he doesn't go during the potential fallout in The Premier then I imagine he will be here for some time.
STUHILL Posted 6 January 2011 Posted 6 January 2011 I honestly think he has a real determination to do well here first and prove he is still a top manager and up for a challenge! Not sure how long he would stay beyond his 2 year contract if a big team came knocking but I think he will be sticking a round for a while yet!

What manager wouldn't, if he wanted to leave he'd probably get his way, and if we had to sack him he'd get a 5 year pay off. They can't lose.

We know what Sven does if he wants an extended contract or more money - he gets seen having dinner with another chairman/director of football
cc_star Posted 6 January 2011 Posted 6 January 2011 According to SSN: Avram Grant is all but gone, Houllier has been given the vote of confidence Liverpool's owners are disappointed with results under Roy Ancelotti believes he has the backing of the club

wellyfox Posted 6 January 2011 Posted 6 January 2011 I so hope Sven is not a member on here. Every time a job comes up he gets linked with it on here first. Now we are linking him with four jobs that don't exist at the moment. Why don.t someone knock on his door and tell him to get a CV of to these four clubs. Long live Sven a man that history says will stay to the end. OR DO WE NOT WANT HIM HERE
Haydos Posted 6 January 2011 Posted 6 January 2011 Gonna stick by what I said when this cropped up about Blackburn. He knew he could have waited for plenty of jobs to become available in the Prem this season at the time he joined us. I just don't see why he'd jump ship now unless a 'top 4' position became available.
Webbo Posted 6 January 2011 Posted 6 January 2011 Villa could have signed Sven in the summer and didn't. He hasn't exactly pulled up any trees here yet (but will do eventually I'm sure). Why would they want him now?
bluebeau Posted 6 January 2011 Posted 6 January 2011 A strong point is that Sven has never walked out on any club he has managed. He did leave Notts County, but full credit to the guy, he did that to help Notts financially, & he didn't even try to claim compensation for the loss of his job. I really like the guy & I think he is very honourable. He's not exactly short of a few quid, & he's not on a bad screw at City. He actually stated at a press conference that he has a 2 year contract with City. I also believe that he can see that King Power are going to take our club into the Prem, money will be available for him to bring in some quality players, & thru my rose tinted glasses, I can see City becoming a 'big club' in the not too distant future. Terrific potential at our club & to use a phrase spoken by our beloved former Shitbag manager Mark McGee, we are a bigger club than most in the Championship. IMO, Martin O'Neil will be Liverpools next manager, but Roy Hodgson will not be out of work for long, as he is a decent manager. Things haven't exactly gone well for him at Liverpool & knowing how football club owners react to a few bad results, he won't be given time to sort Liverpool out. Depending on the timing of things, I can see him being West Hams next manager as it doesn't look too good for Asram Grant. Sam Allardyce will soon be back in work IMO. So let's just stay cool & trust in Citys' owners & power to Sven!

nothin2seehere Posted 6 January 2011 Posted 6 January 2011 Why don't they just all play musical chairs..4 managers, 4 clubs, pick a name of out a hat that'll only get fired at the end of the season when they don't get [insert unrealistic or unattainable goal here].
