Fox92 Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 I know its been posted in another thread but King Kenny is back in management! http://www.dailymail...o=feeds-newsxml Liverpool were always going to be too big for Roy. However, he has had to inherit some rubbish off of Rafa who spent loads of deadwood. Not sure if Dalglish can suceed but I'm sure he will be resepected by the players.
Mack Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Dalglish taking over, will be interesting to see if he can roll back the years, I would doubt it personally.
StanSP Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 His last game in charge for Liverpool was in FA Cup too; a 4-4 draw with Everton. Wouldn't mind seeing that tomorrow!
Guest ttfn Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 This is going to be a total fooking disaster for Liverpool. At least with Hodgson they had someone with relevant managerial experience.
Mack Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Can I add that for me the only person alive and active in football that compare to Roy's polite nature and spirit is Sven. Both gentlemen of the game, and for me Roy Hodgson remains one of the best English Managers currently active. Liverpool fans are as short sighted as they are obsessed with being victims in every circumstance.
ScouseFox Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Cheered up all the liverpool fans. Not sure what they expect 'King Kenny' to suddenly do with the same players and resources. I think performances and results haven't been good enough for the Liverpool of old, but nowadays, it seems as though Liverpool will have to start getting used to finishing outside the top 4.
Guest Bilo Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Could understand his appointment as a stand-in but setting him on till the end of the season is a big risk. He hasn't managed a first-class match for 10 years so far as I'm aware as he's been in charge of the Liverpool youth set-up.
Webbo Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Dalglish is no fool. He's experienced as a manager and he's been involved with the club in recent years so he knows the players and coaches. He's respected by the fans so they'll give him some leeway. He's the obvious choice and he has until the end of the season to earn the job full time.
sdb Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 This solves everything! Sorry for Woy, true gent, but at least Liverpool will realise that you can't just click your fingers and become successful again. Can't see Dalglish getting them top 6, which is where they should be, at least.
Webbo Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 I must say it pisses me off all these pundits saying he had(Hodgson) to go and yet when we got rid of Sousa they were saying how ridiculous it was.
Magictv Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Hahahahahahaha hope they crash and burn, can not fooking stand them. I must say it pisses me off all these pundits saying he had(Hodgson) to go and yet when we got rid of Sousa they were saying how ridiculous it was. Agreed, the way pundits talk about Liverpool is ridiculous.
Finchy Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Anyone see Glenn Johnson having a go at Merson on Twitter for what he said earlier on Soccer Saturday? He seems to have deleted it now, but he said this I think "Comments from alcoholic drug abusers are not really gonna upset me and who is Paul Merson to jugde players, he was average at best" This is the problem with the current Liverpool footballers, they can't seem to accept a lot of it's down to them. Glen Johnson really isn't in the position right now to be arguing about his form, he's been dreadful. He's definitely not in the position to be having a go at Merse.
Zingari Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 nobody can understand a fookin word Dalgliesh says that's maybe not such a bad thing , the players can do pretty well much as they like on the field
Mack Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 hope they go down, cant stand the club. Imagine Dalglish getting them relegated Hodgson would get all the blame, along with Boris Johnson!!
lildave3 Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 This is going to be a total fooking disaster for Liverpool. At least with Hodgson they had someone with relevant managerial experience. What?!
Ozwin Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Am I the only one who couldn't give a flying **** about Liverpool?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Liverpool were always going to be too big for Roy. Erm, he managed Inter Milan?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 *And Glen Johnson has been found out as an incredibly average right back this season. Performance against Blackburn was nothing short of shit. Sooner see Micah Richards get another crack in that position for England.
lildave3 Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Erm, he managed Inter Milan? Tiny club, obviously.
Edmund Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 *And Glen Johnson has been found out as an incredibly average right back this season. Performance against Blackburn was nothing short of shit. Sooner see Micah Richards get another crack in that position for England. Yes. Micah Richard's a beast. Seems to have taken a step backwards since Man City came into the money i.e. doesn't get a regular starting place. Has the potential to be a world class RB.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 Like Hodgson, but it seems he was the wrong man for the job. Having said that, I think its absurd how Liverpool seemingly think they are much bigger and better than they're position. Yes they are a big club, but they have very average players except a couple. All managers need time to get things right eventually, and he wasnt given that.
BoneDog Posted 8 January 2011 Posted 8 January 2011 I wish Roy had of stayed at Fulham, used to like them alot when Roy was boss.
