StanSP Posted 19 January 2011 Posted 19 January 2011 It is on TV, isn't it? Aha yep didn't realise! No idea what channel. Is it BBC or Sky?
Huuuuuume Posted 19 January 2011 Posted 19 January 2011 I did find the tv coverage odd tonight, it's been ages since I've seen city on t.v and I thought that most commentators/pundits backed the underdog... It was a man city wankathon tonight. Whoever was the 'summariser' needs the sack, just ranting on about how svens after money and 'oh and in notts theres 5 women for 1 man' blah blah... hardly professional. Either that or long pauses without anything said at all. Ruined what was a good game.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 19 January 2011 Posted 19 January 2011 I'm sure I read Mancini say that Savage is his best friend in English football That rings a bell with me too... was it in the last Cup game's programme? Anyhow, what about that commentary! Don't know what it was like for the first game, cos I was at the match, but there were periods 2-3 minutes long where the commentators said nothing (usually when City (the proper City) had the ball) and when they did speak it was to eulogise over Man City. If I never have ESPN again it will be too soon.
harpendenfox Posted 19 January 2011 Posted 19 January 2011 Quite why Savage gets media work is beyond me. I guess it's because he dresses 'unusually' and 'says it like it is'. The sooner he exits to Canada the better. Ex players don't always make good pundits.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 19 January 2011 Posted 19 January 2011 Savage was ass licking mancini all night because he thinks he has a shot of going there, When mancini sat next to him savage just gazed into his eyes... :L
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 19 January 2011 Posted 19 January 2011 To put it bluntly Savage is a complete and utter cvck and only bitter because we didnt resign the hasbeen ugly fooking twanker. as for that scouse excuse for a man . . . . . .
Houdini Logic Posted 19 January 2011 Posted 19 January 2011 Remember them saying Weale saving Tevez's penalty was a moment he would remember/cherish for the rest of his life. He's a professional footballer mate, that's what he does - he's not a fooking school boy!
Leicester_Mad Posted 19 January 2011 Posted 19 January 2011 did you not watch the 2nd half?? I did...i watched a Leicester side give a good account of themselves, having a lot of the ball whilst a Man City team sits back and watches us do it as they have a 2 goal lead.
Bugg Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 All commentary is rubbish. Make your own. the best commentary is in Brazil where the bloke just shreiks "Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll!!!!!!!" Nothing biased about that at all
Jimmy Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 Remember them saying Weale saving Tevez's penalty was a moment he would remember/cherish for the rest of his life. He's a professional footballer mate, that's what he does - he's not a fooking school boy! maybe they know he never saves penalties so this will be special to him
1991FOX Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 Just saw on SSN a clip of McManaman and Bruce Grobbelaar having an altercation on the pitch whilst playing for liverpool from a while back. Was good to see McManaman get a little slap to the face haha
nickelbyfox Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 Have to watch ESPN over here most of the time and listen to McManaman. First of all bloody tough to understand at times as he rambles, and secondly offers no real insight. Makes Shaka Hislop look good who is also a rather poor commentator
darko2k7 Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 I watched a different channel and the post match analysis was about right it was chris colemen (spelling??) and someone else who's name escapes me ,the only thing that ticked me of is when they slagged of gally for the way he took the peno saying it was because he was intimidated by hart and did not want to eye ball him which is bullshit !! he does it every time so do your research you nobheads EDIT- rememberd the other guy now it was andy townsend !!
Stadt Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 I watched a different channel and the post match analysis was about right it was chris colemen (spelling??) and someone else who's name escapes me ,the only thing that ticked me of is when they slagged of gally for the way he took the peno saying it was because he was intimidated by hart and did not want to eye ball him which is bullshit !! he does it every time so do your research you nobheads EDIT- rememberd the other guy now it was andy townsend !! Andy Townsend is a tool
Darkon84 Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 Andy Townsend is a tool True, but him and Coleman still gave a better post match analysis than mcmanaman and savage, at least it sounded like coleman etc actually watched some of it!
SeCrEt FoX Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 Peter Beagrie is always very biased against City. I hate that bloke with a passion
nickelbyfox Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 Peter Beagrie is always very biased against City. I hate that bloke with a passion Yea he is definitely up there, but in all honesty what pundits like Leicester based sports teams when you think about it
Darkon84 Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 Peter Beagrie is always very biased against City. I hate that bloke with a passion Beagrie....CVNT! and that fat pudding stuart barnes, when it comes to the Tigers!
Houdini Logic Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 True, but him and Coleman still gave a better post match analysis than mcmanaman and savage, at least it sounded like coleman etc actually watched some of it! COLEMAN'S GETTING MAKE UP, NA NA NA NAAAAAAAAA
Solihullfox Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 Beagrie....CVNT! and that fat pudding stuart barnes, when it comes to the Tigers! Agree on both counts. Beagrie just annoys the crap out of me and whilst it is only eggchasing...........Stuart Barnes is SO anti Leicester Tigers it's unreal, grade A tosser.
FuriousFox46 Posted 20 January 2011 Author Posted 20 January 2011 Peter Beagrie He always gets to cover our games aswell.
biggs Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 Savage might be coming here to Vancouver. What the hell did I do wrong
