Deluded Steve McManaman

I did find the tv coverage odd tonight, it's been ages since I've seen city on t.v and I thought that most commentators/pundits backed the underdog... It was a man city wankathon tonight.

Whoever was the 'summariser' needs the sack, just ranting on about how svens after money and 'oh and in notts theres 5 women for 1 man' blah blah... hardly professional.

:appl:

Either that or long pauses without anything said at all. Ruined what was a good game.

I'm sure I read Mancini say that Savage is his best friend in English football

That rings a bell with me too... was it in the last Cup game's programme?

Anyhow, what about that commentary! :o Don't know what it was like for the first game, cos I was at the match, but there were periods 2-3 minutes long where the commentators said nothing (usually when City (the proper City) had the ball) and when they did speak it was to eulogise over Man City.

If I never have ESPN again it will be too soon.

Quite why Savage gets media work is beyond me. I guess it's because he dresses 'unusually' and 'says it like it is'. The sooner he exits to Canada the better. Ex players don't always make good pundits.

Remember them saying Weale saving Tevez's penalty was a moment he would remember/cherish for the rest of his life.

He's a professional footballer mate, that's what he does - he's not a fooking school boy!

did you not watch the 2nd half??

I did...i watched a Leicester side give a good account of themselves, having a lot of the ball whilst a Man City team sits back and watches us do it as they have a 2 goal lead.

All commentary is rubbish. Make your own.

the best commentary is in Brazil where the bloke just shreiks "Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll!!!!!!!"

Nothing biased about that at all lol

maybe they know he never saves penalties so this will be special to him

Just saw on SSN a clip of McManaman and Bruce Grobbelaar having an altercation on the pitch whilst playing for liverpool from a while back.

Was good to see McManaman get a little slap to the face haha

Have to watch ESPN over here most of the time and listen to McManaman. First of all bloody tough to understand at times as he rambles, and secondly offers no real insight. Makes Shaka Hislop look good who is also a rather poor commentator

True, but him and Coleman still gave a better post match analysis than mcmanaman and savage, at least it sounded like coleman etc actually watched some of it!

Peter Beagrie is always very biased against City. I hate that bloke with a passion

Yea he is definitely up there, but in all honesty what pundits like Leicester based sports teams when you think about it

Agree on both counts. Beagrie just annoys the crap out of me and whilst it is only eggchasing...........Stuart Barnes is SO anti Leicester Tigers it's unreal, grade A tosser.
