Football fans that dish out abuse and can't take it are ridic. Christ. It's like the Arsenal fans that complained about Adebeyor celebrating in front of them.

That was absolute quality, made me laugh no end.

If we created a higher class than world class, say universe class then perhaps there'd be less argument about wazza being world class. Incidentally I'd say that the last player we had that would be in the highest echelon of 'universe class' would have to be super Sergio hellings.

i'm sure Gally pointed to our badge when he scored the pen,bet the Man City fans were so traumatized that they couldn't sleep last night

universe > universal > something everybody has...

Dictionary description of universe. I'm right your wrong. Unlucky bud. gally is officially universe class at pennos

All matter and energy, including the earth, the galaxies, and the contents of intergalactic space, regarded as a whole.

As long as players don't take it too far, such as Adebayor (v Arsenal), I don't mind a celebration. Ok, what Johnson did might have been wrong but if I was a footballer I might choose to do something.

I can remember quite a lot of players celebrating infront of us (Charlie Adam put his finger to his lips last season, and even in 03/04 when Pompey had stayed up and we had gone down, Lua Lua tapped his Premiership badge before taking a corner).

I don't really think now disliking Johnson is the answer. There was probably not that much intent in it, was they?

imo its a bit of fun - sure we are 1 leauge lower, if the roles were reversed then we would have been singing "championship your having a laugh" or something similar

As I said before, I know I personally am not upset. More embarrassed for the boy than anything else. Good banter is good banter but "oh look I'm Premiership", that's just weak.

I mean if we were some Leeds trying to tell the world how big a club we are? Alright. And if we were being slammed eight nil in the first game? Alright.

But he feels the need to remind our fans that he's Premiership when he's barely managing to beat some mid table Championship, unfashionable midlands side for the second of asking? lol that's not being some clever WUM. That's just being a cringeworthy punk. Tevez putting his finger to his lips inf ront of the Kop in the first leg? Fair enough, banter. This? Poor.

The Rooney/Johnson argument - They play in different positions so they cant be judged on something that differs for positions.

Oh right cheers for that, I didn't realise universe and universal meant different things.

Glad we cleared that up...

Seeing this jumped up response, I had to see where this came from and after reviewing the original source I was then interested to review a dictonary definition of Universe as the phrase 'Universe class' didn't seem to make any sort of gramtical sense to me.

Definition of Universe (noun) Cambridge Dictonary

Now although universe is a noun and noun's can be a 'substance or quality', I think with Universe it is described as a noun under the understanding its a 'place' so I would question the way your description of Paul Gallagher's penalty taking abilities is structered.

I think you mean that Paul Gallagher is either 'the best in the Universe at taking penalties' or that he is 'a top class penalty taker' but 'Universe Class' does not appear to be an acceptable gramatical combination in English Language which has gone on to cause the confusion in what you have been trying to convay in your argument, hence the forthcoming questionning of your use of the English laungage (I suppose this could be a Northern expression I have yet to come across).

And as I'm already correcting you for grammar, I think you mean Dictonary Definition, Universe should start with a capital, as should Gally and Earth. You may also wish to elongate the words bud and pennos into buddy and penalties respectively in the future so that you are fully understood, but I do appreciate you were going for the informal versions of these words on this occasion.

Overall grade = D+ (Try Harder next time)

If I was a footballer my celebration would always be infront of the opposition fans, it seems like so much fun.

I've already admit to my mates, if I was a footballer I'd be the most arrogant person alive. City Ground, bag at the Trent End....errr it would be rude not to.

Dj Barry hammond if you're going to comment on my use of informal language you probably shouldn't start with the phrase jumped up which is a colloquialism. And maybe you should try spelling grammatical correctly. :P

The more I think about it the funnier it gets,.. fair play Mr Johnson, sorry we've got some school kid fans who can't take a tiny bit of banter

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

I have learnt to never criticise other people's grammar or spelling on the internet (even when it is atrocious) because you will always make at least one mistake when doing so, it's Murphy's Law.

Also you should really have picked up on the criminal your/you're mistake in funkyrobot's post if you want to live up to your Defender of the English Language title not to mention that his user name should start with a capital F and probably be hyphenated.

I know and I was only too aware that I was bound to make a mistake, despite painstaking efforts to avoid just that. However, I think the extra pompus style helps with the overall arguement and amusment factor which was the end goal.

Supringsly, a much more grammticaly coherent response was forthcoming following my original post which begs the question - why write like a retard in the first place?

Dj Barry you can't help yourself. Learn to spell 'surprisingly' correctly and 'grammatically'. I didn't realise that a forum about Leicester City had so many language snobs. If I want to write informally and incorrectly I will. Oh, and for future reference, this is how you spell 'argument'.
