Callabinho Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 SSN - Stoke cannot afford to let Faye go, have not got the resources to replace him.
cc_star Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 Deal to Celtic is now dead in the water - it will not be happening Faye wanted to go, he was really keen to join them Apparently Stoke want cover before letting him go to them, which surely puts us right out the equation too? Source: SSN
General Smuts Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 Celtic deal squashed according to ssn cos Stoke dont have cover for him. So hell not come here as well for the same reasons surely.
Callabinho Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 Sven is going to start throwing cash around in a bit i reckon, I would not be at all surprised if we Bid for money for Faye, and maybe even Given?.....
sdb Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 gutted. don't see what's changed at Stoke? bizarre from them.
artursteppe Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 Celtic deal squashed according to ssn cos Stoke dont have cover for him. So hell not come here as well for the same reasons surely. Bizarre - This morning the Stoke chairman was happy to let Faye go, 'cos he had got cover. Maybe Sky are talking from their bottoms. Could still be that Celtic can't afford £40k per week in wages.
okie fox Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 So if there's no cover, why did Stoke allow Faye to travel to Glasgow? Seems odd.
dannythefox Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 He could sign for us lennon only said they have links with him he might not want to go to celtic who nos? Glasgow is a hole carnt blame him really.
Jackirius Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 If anyone missed the news from the 10 posts above. The Faye deal is off. Just to clarify. In fact i will say one more time that the deal is off if you still don't know. I doubt any more signings bar maybe Norales / Ricardo. But i doubt he would be in a rush with Ricardo as he is a Free Agent.
Liamlcfc1 Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 Natalie Jackson twitter Leicester City likely to sign one more player today - Paul Gallagher on BBC Radio Leicester tonight on the phone in! 2 minutes ago via web
sdb Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 think today's gonna be somethin of an anticlimax. some much for my dream of a Biliyetdinov/Faye/Given picture special.

ajthefox Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 Natalie Jackson twitter What times the moan in?
escos Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 It's only an anticlimax if you believe all the bullshit that has been flying around lately!
Lester LXXIV Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 I know we have a good team as it is but there's something about transfer deadline day that brings the kid out in me! I expect miracles and then feel deflated when we don't get any nice surprises!
Kitchandro Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 I'm not bothered unless we're signing a midfielder tbh. I think it's a bit naive to expect Given and Biliayetdinov to come and then when they don't say it's an anti-climax.

Agreed, if they were gonna happen I would've expected them before the last day. but either way I wasn't that hopeful. Disappointed we haven't heard anything with regard to Faye though, mind.
escos Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 I would say that Naughton, Bamba, Van Aanholt and Yakubu is a brilliant transfer window!
Kitchandro Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 I would say that Naughton, Bamba, Van Aanholt and Yakubu is a brilliant transfer window! Agreed, it seems some people have forgotten about them already! Still think we need better backup for midfield though
cc_star Posted 31 January 2011 Posted 31 January 2011 It's only an anticlimax if you believe all the bullshit that has been flying around lately! Where's the bullshit? Davies, Faye, Given, Ricardo and others have all be sourced from the clubs involved.
