No. Did I call it entertainment? No.... so what the hell are you talking about and why are you even mentioning it. Have I slagged off Sven or his formation at any point? Again, no I haven't, so why are you making out like that's what i'm doing. I've enjoyed plenty of games under Sven, like our system and think everything is generally hunky dory (you'd be insane not to). As many others have said though, we weren't at our best and we seemed to play at a canter. We lacked urgency and had we not scored a couple of long rangers it would look more like we just scraped past them. Seems to me you are looking at the score line and being impressed but taking no notice of what actually happened on the pitch for huge portions of the match. Or maybe you were one of the people jumping up and down with your back to goal having a gay old time and that's why you think it was such a great day out. For me though the goals aside it was a quite drab affair for long periods, if I'm bored at a game, then I'm bored. I don't need someone like you coming on here telling me how I should be bloody feeling. Just because we have pace in the team doesn't mean they were using it. The players strolled through the game and only when Dyer came on did they all lift their tempo. Understand entirely what you are saying, though having to explain your views at length makes it sound worse than it actually was. I agree it was rarely exiting and some of our football was pretty disjointed but I did think we could have stepped it up had we needed too. All in all I was fairly pleased with the performance, not great but always good enough for the win I thought. Many of our fans are completely unable to see the difference between a good result and a good performance, I have had many an argument with posters about this issue.

I'm very happy at the minute with everything, I was a bit bored at the game yesterday, but walked away thrilled at 4 fantastic goals and 3 points. The end.

skinnydipper Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 First half I thought we were pretty lacklustre and lacking cohesion and bite. Couldn't say I enjoyed the first half save for the two goals and the fact that we had the lead. Until we got the third I thought things were pretty much the same but after King's second we bossed chances and possession. I came away delighted with the win but feeling that it had been an odd game in that we could have scored 6 or 7 from a fairly tepid performance. Was also a bit worried at the extent to which the full backs got pulled into the middle of defence leaving us vulnerable time and again to the cross field ball. A weird but ultimately enjoyable day
Bellend Sebastian Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 I think it's a sign of the improved quality of the individuals in the side that they can have a game where there's a distinct lack of cohesion and the play seems a bit messy but three players can pop up and whack in four goals between them. I was blown away by the goals but not the general play, but with so many new players in the side I'm not surprised that it's not quite a well oiled machine yet. The signs are that it could be something great though

For some players , coming to a team like Leicester is like being put in a shop window for everyone to see , and to be honest who would'nt want him in there side?

If we don't go up I would risk a large amount of money that Kyle will be at QPR next season in the prem. Unfortunate, but that's the issue with the strategy we're on this season to get up immediately. With that said, since the abject QPR home game the season ticket has been more than worth the money so i'm not moaning!! You also wouldn't begrudge Naughton leaving his options open till the summer - he's clearly giving it everything with us at the mo. If there are signs that he will make a full recovery i'd also bet that we try to get Greg Cunningham back permanently in the summer whatever league we're in.

I thought apart from the goals it was a pretty drab affair.A 4-1 scoreline may sound like it was all attacking play but to be fair it takes 5 seconds or less to score a goal and this really was all the entertainment for me. IT shows what I expect blood and thunder on saturday t type of game it was when all 4 goals were shots from distance. No complaints though. Good result.

Cracking goals though and another win so can't complain. Yakubu was poor & lazy but if he scores some important goals I don't mind. Andy King is god. Nice to see some decent long range efforts, looks like we've had shooting practise this week!
Wymsey Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 Van Annholt performed much better, Weale - yet again excellent and the midfield duo of King and Wellens is a great partnership, in which both players we certainly need to keep. Think Abe wasn't his best yesterday and as for Yakubu, he didn't look like as if he was trying his best and took things too much at ease. Gallagher's free kicks were absolutely dismal. I expected much better than that.
Corky Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 Another good win, at times our performance wasn't the best but at others we passed it well and got forward quickly. Four tremendous goals, even though I missed the fourth as I was in the toilet , Gallagher's hit was superb and King's double, one measured chip and a calm finish after a positive run put us in a good position. We had a mad few minutes just before half-time where we seemed to lose all cohesion and began to panic. Half-time came at the right point and we were in control throughout the second half. A home win, our 8th in the last 11, four more goals and our goal difference is looking healthier. We're certainly making progress.
