ozleicester Posted 16 February 2011 Posted 16 February 2011 1st game? nope... this will be game number 8 (its like being a glory hunting manure supporter )
kyle09uk Posted 16 February 2011 Posted 16 February 2011 hahaa... as long as we dont start acting like the glory inflated helium balloon headed gits its s'all gooood I hope your record of attending matches continues
luckyalex13 Posted 16 February 2011 Posted 16 February 2011 i always get nervous before games that we 'should win' and that we really need to win to pile the pressure on the teams above us. i am really excited about our prospects of reaching the play offs, i think there is an outside chance of automatic promotion but that would mean wins against, forest, cardifff, norwich and qpr, i am not sure we can beat all of them, well on our day we can, but to get 12pts out of 12 against them is a big ask. personally i think we will draw 1 lose one and win 2 which would give us 7 out of 12 which keeps the 2pts a game which i think will give us play off finish. IN SVEN WE TRUST :fox:
Haydos Posted 16 February 2011 Posted 16 February 2011 Really up for this one, annoyed I won't be able to watch it though! Hope the confidence can keep rolling on. Most of the starters are in really good form at the moment and that can only be a good thing, a few more quality goals on friday and i'll be a happy bunny!
Wymsey Posted 16 February 2011 Posted 16 February 2011 Most of the starters are in really good form at the moment. Vassell even? Not in my opinion, think he's struggled in past few games.
ScouseFox Posted 16 February 2011 Posted 16 February 2011 Moving it to a Friday gives us a chance to get right up tight to the POs if we get a win, which gives Leeds & co. added pressure, and as said, points have to be dropped with teams up there playing each other. A big victory is a chance to show we really mean business, and with everyone in form and being at home, we should be winning. 4-0, Yakubu (2), King, DV.
Haydos Posted 16 February 2011 Posted 16 February 2011 Vassell even? Not in my opinion, think he's struggled in past few games. Most Also, he's due a goal?
nickelbyfox Posted 16 February 2011 Posted 16 February 2011 Bring on Bristol City, don't think they will fancy a Friday night game against us, 3-0 to us, fancy Annholt scoring a screamer! Until we lose a game, as likely as it is, will be hoping for winning all our remaining games!
topharry123 Posted 16 February 2011 Posted 16 February 2011 Looking at the table now, we've really put ourselves in a fantastic position and if we win this the pressure is on the teams above us to re-open that gap. We have an awful long way to go, and if we're in the mix by the end of March I have no doubt we're going to at least make the playoffs. Top 2 would be nice but there's too far to go and too much to catch up to even think about that right now. If in 10 games we're close then great, if not then i'd be delighted with the playoffs bearing in mind the start we had to the season.
Corky Posted 16 February 2011 Posted 16 February 2011 Wouldn't be in a rush to change the side from Derby. I know they we're sh*te but we looked so dominant. Confidence must be sky high. Really, really, really need to win this one. I like that 10 wins from 15 games being enough idea - but those 15 games include QPR, Forest, Cardiff all away and Swansea, Norwich at home. Plus sides around us. I still don't think we're favourites to make the Play-Offs yet (sorry for the pessimism!) Also, why is it this game needed to be moved? Isn't Tigers a 5pm kick off? Surely us and Tigers can't stretch Police resources that much. We can't play on the same day as the Tigers. Sunday wasn't really available as we play on Tuesday, so Friday was the alternative.

But now we take Bristol with 3-1 and then we can looking forward Scorers Vasell 1, YAK 1, and the King (ANDY) 1
blueredswed Posted 16 February 2011 Posted 16 February 2011 I'll take anything aslong as its a W. Yoy´re so good
ajthefox Posted 16 February 2011 Posted 16 February 2011 I'll take anything aslong as its a W. We have to in all honesty. We've got a good chance of the play-offs but we have to win a good share of the games, whether it be in style or like Sheffield United. Hopefully we can beat Bristol City and put some pressure on a few above us as we'd only be a point off Leeds if we were to win. Be interesting to see if it effects them.
STEVIE B Posted 16 February 2011 Posted 16 February 2011 Ipswich seem to be sneaking up the table, and besides us and Forest are the form side. They have to play most of the sides above us,and could do us a few favours.Wickham is scoring for fun.Take a look at their fixtures !!

samlcfc Posted 16 February 2011 Posted 16 February 2011 Looking forward to this, like the evening games. Confident we'll win again with the way things are going at the moment. The team just seem to be getting better and more confident in their style of play as the games continue although also able to deal with scrappy play enforced by other teams by looking at parts of other games. Gonna go for a 3-1 win. Think Andy King well probably score again, just gotta throw his name in there at them moment as he's in incredible form. It's not even that you think he should score as consistently as he is doing at the moment but the way hes playing you just expect him to aha. The self belief hes probably got at the moment aswell he's probably looking to take a crack at that top scorer table

Great minds 'n' all that ! Burnley have a tough run in too.Seems as though Watford & Reading are having blips.Always one team that makes a late charge, not sure that includes us,as we've been on a great run for a while now,and are knocking on the door.Maybe Hull ? Now,that would be ironic !!!
Thracian Posted 17 February 2011 Posted 17 February 2011 My Derby prediction was perhaps the first I've got right this season and I think we'll get another win with the team likely to be determined to regain their respect after the embarrassment at Bristol. Our home record is excellent, the team appears to be in a workmanlike as well as efforvescent mood and I just cannot imagine we won't score so long as we keep some pace in the side. Confidence is a big thing in football and we must be high on the stuff and with good reason given some of the goals we've scored. The monkey of our awful away record has jumped off our back, we've got strength as well as skill, we're collectively fitter, our defence looks more solid and we're demonstrably the top form team since Christmas. There are even signs that we are becoming remorseless and that really is the stuff of success. Cos it's not just about beating the best teams but making sure we make light of the lesser teams and, at long last, that seems to be happening. Of course we'll need to focus and respect our opponents but I see no reason why we can't win 3-0, thus adding yet another clean sheet to our tally and enhancing our steadily improving goals difference which may yet be vital in our quest for promotion. Gallagher, King and Dyer are my choice of scorers. I'd like to see Weale and Dyer back in the side - and Schlupp on the bench. But I doubt any ot those things will happen.Whatever I shall look forward as I look forward to all our matches now - which sure says something about the team and about Sven's management. Cos it's the first time I've felt this excited about our football since the Gillies days.

We've not failed to score in the last 9 games (before the transfer window), can see us banging in a few more tomorrow on that basis alone. What were Bristol like at their place? Did we play awful or do they have some ability?
Messi Posted 17 February 2011 Posted 17 February 2011 We was the much better team at Bristol, really don't know how we lost, nevermind them scoring 2. If Stevie would have scored that penalty against them I think it would have been a different story. Leicester 3-1 (Vassell, King and Gallagher)
Haydos Posted 17 February 2011 Posted 17 February 2011 They don't seem very confident so far.... Bristol forum
zynxus Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 Bristol city have failed to score a goal in 5 of their last 6 games. We have failed to lose in our last 6 games. only 1 winner. Bristol City.
