Finnegan Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 I don't smoke and I've never been addicted to cigarettes - but I tell you what, right now, I fucking hate anti-smokers ten times more than I dislike smoke. I hate the horrendously whiney, insufferable, preachy, smug, victimizing, finger-pointing cunts with a passion.
Alexikokopops Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 smoking in cars should be banned full stop. its a distraction. end of debate I think we should ban people changing the radio while driving. It's a distraction. End of debate

AoWW Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 Passengers are also a distraction. And road signs. And those air fresheners on your mirror. Let's have none of those. And other road users - they can all fook off out of my way and let me concentrate.

Finnegan Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 I jogged every day and ate tofu and I'm dead. Yul Brynner drank, smoke and got laid every night and he's dead... shit.

I hate the horrendously whiney, insufferable, preachy, smug, victimizing, finger-pointing cunts with a passion. I smoked up until 6 days ago and the amount of people that used to moan at me for smoking was unreal. I never ever smoked around other people either. Didn't smoke in my car even when on my own, always smoked outside in my back garden (or front of the house under porch if it was raining. ) But the thing was, it used to be ex-smokers that were worse than someone that had never even tried it. Hypocrites.

Adults can do anything they want to and other adults can leave rooms etc. if they don't want to passively smoke. But smoking around children especially in enclosed spaces, or even worse whilst pregnant is just plain selfish!

SystonFox Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 The reason I dislike smoking in cars is the car I own was owned by an ex smoker and everytime I put the ac on it stinks. Purely a selfish point of view. Don't wanna turn this into a smoking debate so lets just leave it there. I hate seeing chavs in hoods wheeling motocross bikes toward the field behind my house to tear around on.
Phube Posted 27 February 2011 Author Posted 27 February 2011 Yet people have been doing it for decades and, believe it or not, the human race is still here! They have been using the same needle for injecting many people most of the last century... you fancy that next time you need one? They were using blue asbestos most of the last century... we're still here, let's keep using it! They were sending children up chimneys, down pits and into machinery for the previous 200 years... we survived, what's the problem! I could go on. Just because it's not an instant kill doesn't mean it's sensible. We learn as we develop as a race that's why we are still here!
Finnegan Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 Yeah, child slavery is exactly like passive smoking.
Phube Posted 27 February 2011 Author Posted 27 February 2011 Yeah, child slavery is exactly like passive smoking. Both bad for children, foreshortening their lives. Plus, it wasn't child slavery in them days... slavery was banned. They were paid for what they did. And it was mainly acceptable to the majority of the public. And in a hundred years maybe (hopefully) people will be equally appalled by the fact that pregnant women and parents were allowed to (slowly) poison their own children!
Zingari Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 i'm not sure the sight of female front line soldiers makes me "angry" , ( not at them anyway ) but possibly angry at our society, because it really doesn't seem right to me hope this makes sense

If all armies were what they claim to be, for the defence of the nation and it's people, then there wouldn't be a problem. Yeah, yeah, I know... pseudo-French hippie!

Yeah, yeah, I know... pseudo-French hippie! nothing wrong with hippies in my book I thought you considered the concept of "nation", to be wrong and backward thinking though , ( or did i misunderstand your point about getting british nationals out of Libya, purely on the basis of them being British ?)
