darko2k7 Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 Sven-Goran Eriksson will be looking for his side to bounce back from the weekend's disappointment with a win over Norwich City on Tuesday evening. The Foxes lost out at Loftus Road on Saturday after Ishmael Miller scored late on to hand all three points to the home side. Despite City creating the better chances throughout the game, they were unable to capitalise on their dominance. Results didn't exactly go in favour of the Foxes over the weekend, with both Burnley and Hull City picking up wins to move above City. With the gap between Leicester's current position and that all important play-off spot now stretched to five points, a win against the Canaries is vital to keep City's promotion hopes alive. Much like the Foxes' return to the Championship last season, Norwich City have kept the momentum from the League 1 promotion. Paul Lambert's men currently sit in fourth place, two points outside of the automatic promotion spaces. In their last match, the Canaries registered a disappointing 1-1 draw with the league's bottom club, Preston North End. Chris Brown opened the scoring for North End on 60 minutes to the shock of the Carrow Road crowd, but the home side replied two minutes later when Grant Holt fired the Canaries level. Wes Hoolohan was then handed in perfect opportunity to take all three points, but he missed a penalty in the last minute of the game. Paul Lambert will be looking for his side to repeat the performance from the first game between Norwich and Leicester this season, the Canaries came out 4-3 winners on the occasion. I'm thinking it will be a end to end game with city's home advantage showing through in the end 3-2 ( King , Vassell, Yak )
ousefox Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 Win or bust IMO. It's going to be a tough game, but i'm quietly confident we can grab all 3 points tonight.
lcfcadam Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 Win - the painful hope that we still might get in the play-offs plagues us for at least another few days. Lose - we can all relax, chill out, take each remaining game as it comes pretty much knowing the season's over in terms of promotion and focus on a productive summer and destroying the league at the next attempt from August onwards.
isaidno Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 Think this is gonna be a high scoring game , 3-2 to us
cc_star Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 Big game, like they all are. We need 8 wins to get in the playoffs & 11 games to do it in My concern tonight is that we taper off as games go on, and Norwich are last minute experts. Although according to foxblogger they've not won away against a single top half side this season, but they are unbeaten in 5 Gonna be tough, but we can do it

Erm what? I know loosing will make it very difficult, but it's not over til it's over. Foxes Never quit and all that..
Salieri Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 Big game tonight and a tough one, Norwich have only lost 3 times in 17 away matches this season. Praying we can bounce back from our recent stutter and take all 3 points but I reckon a draw is on the cards.
Guest bennytwohats Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 All this we need 8 wins from 11 and such is completely lost on me. What we need is determined by how the other teams competing for the playoffs do, and that alone. Anyway, I fancy a win for us tonight. I reckon we'll be up for it after playing so well and not getting the result.
The Padster Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 Was thinking about 20 mins ago that there was something happening tonight and for 5 minutes I couldn't for the life of me remember what it was, I log on here and see the match thread and suddenly everything clicks into place! Personally going with a 3-0 city here, I can feel it in me bones. Arrr
shailen Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 its going to be high scoring, we,ll be going all out! Hopefully, we can win around 3-0!
lcfcadam Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 Erm what? I know loosing will make it very difficult, but it's not over til it's over. Foxes Never quit and all that.. Feeling too nihilistic for that kind of thinking after witnessing the outright injustice of last Saturday (that plus Waghorn's unfeasibly bad finishing... )
StanSP Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 Bruma not in squad. Berner in. Bamba and Mee at the back. Abe Wellens Oakley in middle. Vassell and Yak start.
Haydos Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 Ian Stringer Ricardo, naughton, bamba, mee, berner, abe, wellens, oakley, king, vassell, yakubu. Subs:weale, vitor, moreno, gallagher, dyer, waghorn, schlupp 4-4-2 diamond again by the looks of things....schlupp on the bench. I wanted Gally in for Oakley
SamFox Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 Heart says 2-1. Head says 2-2 (last minute goal to Norwich)
lcfc_jme Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 What's the point of Oakley? If he plays as he did on Saturday then nobody with any footballing knowledge whatsoever should have any complaints. 2 games in 4 days may be a little too much for his glass knees in my opinion, but he suprised me on Saturday and I hope he does so again s'evening.
nickelbyfox Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 What's the point of Oakley? Oakley again he really offers nothing! Signing all these players to start two huge games with him
AaronH Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 why arent gally and dyer starting 2 of our best players this season and why change a winning formula
StanSP Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 Oakley again he really offers nothing! Signing all these players to start two huge games with him Did you or the other guy go to the game on Saturday? If not, pipe down cos he actually had a good game and you'd be talking bollocks.
ScouseFox Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 Bruma's a loss after how good he was on Saturday. Hope Berner shows he's not lost it. Midfield worked well, so no disappointment in it staying the same, just not sure why Waggy ain't starting.
Salieri Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 Team looks fair enough for me, Schlupp to come on and score an injury time winner.
nickelbyfox Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 Did you or the other guy go to the game on Saturday? If not, pipe down cos he actually had a good game and you'd be talking bollocks. Well didn't go to the game but taped in and have watched it again, and really don't think he was good! Maybe he'll score the winner today but definitely better options imo
Salieri Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 Wonder who will be chief whipping boy on here tonight, Oakley or Ricardo?
