I'm not getting my self worked up over this because my way of looking at it is as follows,

Even IF.......

1- We NEVER get into the prem ,

2- Waste millions trying putting the club in massive debt,

3- The owners jumping ship and Ken Bates buys us .

4- All our bes players going o Forest

5- Junior Lewis, and Josh Low are our next big signings

6- Ian Dowie and Peter taylor appointed joint super manager team .

It could be worse we could all support Derby :(

Look at forests fixtures up to us, Swansea, Leeds, Reading, Burnley and Norwich then us.

I think they are the only team we can hope slip up a few times and let us sneak in

But i reckon we can finish 6th

Looking at it, if we win on saturday (not a certainty but a must if we are to keep the hopes alive) and Florist lose (a decent shout at swansea away) then we'd be garunteed only 2 points off the playoffs, admittedly along with a couple of other teams. But still this has got to be a decent position to be in with 8 games to go?

7 wins from 9 and we'll be in the playoffs (which people need to remember isn't actually promotion, but a 1 in 4 chance of promotion)

Adding the fact we need 7 wins & the lottery of the playoffs - I'd say the gods are against us

We're not mathematically safe from relegation yet ;)

We keep winning and the pressure will be put on the top six. They keep winning and there's nothing we can do about it.

Just have a feeling Sven has underestimated the physical demands of this league and predicted that it he would generally be able to take us up despite the problems with our goal difference compared to others and where we were when he first took charge. Still he has done a pretty good job.

Because, sods law like to prove me wrong. I know we will not be going up, inafct we wont even make it to the play offs

I think he has consistently said we aren't really strong enough from almost the start. He's trying to find the right combination at the back, but lots of injuries haven't helped keep a settled team. The big problem stems from the midfield really, the difficulty if fixing it because King, Wellens and Abe are good players and it would be a shame to drop any of them.

This is it, Sven said not long after he came that we lacked strength in midfield but like you say the King/Wellens/Abe combo has been good more often than not this season. If I had to speculate as to which would be the most likely to be replaced I'd say it would be Yuki because you could argue he's the worst of the three (debatable) and that in the holding role that he plays the physical side of it is more important?

Yup. the back has been a bit of a disaster tbh, but in the middle they're all good players & it's harsh to drop any or all of them, but really we need 2 players which possess the skills that these 3 have combined... Kinda like Lennon & Izzet
