The Bakrie family

Iman Arif actually owns the 20% through Cronus Sports Management Pte Ltd.

Arif does work for the Bakries though.

Yep this, Iman Arif is the CFO for Bakries business, Arif is most likely acting as a figure head for the Bakries though an investment firm called Cronus sports i would assume. I would doubt he has enough money to be investing a couple of million into a English football club as a CFO.

Edit: Nice find though

That's all pure speculation, let's deal in facts we know.

No not really, he is CFO for Bakries business. He would not have the funds to invest this much money into a football club unless he has other ventures which I or no one else has managed to find so that all points in the direction that he is acting on behalf of someone else, which you would assume would be someone who trusts him and knows him well...

Would like to recommend buying the Fox Fanzine.

The Trust article in the December edition stated the likely link & Iman Arif's background, while the February edition gave details released via the Jakarta press on the Bakrie's being behind the 20%. However no media organisations in the UK have ran with this information

in which case, fair enough to Lcfcliam1 for discovering it on his own terms.

Also, I met one of you foces trusters down at Tower Bridge after QPR, nice bloke. He was there with Andrew. That probably doesn't narrow it down (I have no idea how many of you there are)

Just because you can't find it doesn't mean it doesn't have it. I'm open to the possibility of them being behind it, I'd come to roughly the same conclusion myself with what I could find. But as there is nothing concrete, nobody can say really. A few snippets in papers means nothing, we all know newspapers print stuff as fact when it's not true, so it's hard to take a couple of lines in some random paper as any kind of proof.

Doing a search for Leicester City found this liink its in the middle of the article http://www.smh.com.au/sport/a-league/ffa-accused-of-lacking-respect-for-investors-20110316-1bxdi.html the guy is worth 2.5bn according to wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aburizal_Bakrie

Interesting that the Australian article says that Bakrie is keen on buying (a stake in, or all of ?) Central Coast Mariners (whoever they are) - and already owns a Belgian club (does anyone know who that is ?). If that deal goes ahead, they, together with the Belgian club, might form links with City ?

They're not going down are they?

Doh!

Didn't Milan own or partially own another club in Serbia?

Maybe thats why Mr Arif is the shareholder. Or the Bakries don't have much to do with the club  though it would seem that they might do.

Hi Guys, first post here.

I'm a Mariners fan from Central Coast 1hr north of Sydney. I found this link through also researching the Bakrie family

If the deal does go ahead the links will be a funny issue. We already have links with Sheffield United and the family of clubs they have involving players and a new academy on the Central Coast. The owner of SUFC Kevin McCabe sits on our board.

It would most definitely be the Bakries that control the 20% stake in your club IMO. The family is sports mad and have been puting money into sports since the mid 1980's. I believe that someone involved with the Bakrie's also runs or has something to do with your academy.

If you are interested in who the Mariners are try looking here http://www.ccmfans.net/ and here http://www.ccmariners.com.au/

Welcolme & cheers for the info.

What info do you have to support your info on our academy?

P.S Don't worry about Sheff U they have problems of their own to worry about before losing a link with you, I also am unsure if Kevin McCabe has £2.5BN?
