googie Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 With Sven been here a few months now,he has made his mark and built his own team. With many of the players from the Pearson days gone and maybe more going in the summer, i think Lloyd Dyer's days at the club are up. He's not played much since Jan and i just think Sven does not think he's up to it. New manager's come and go and you can not argue with Sven's record since he came to the club so i respect the tough choice's he has to make. But personally i will be sad if Dyer does leave. Other's i expect to be moved on include, Weale(again just don't think Sven rates him) Oakley (contract up in summer) Neilson Logan Berner. Howard. But i would like Dyer to stay and still think he could play a part maybe other disagree. But as we say"In SVEN we trust!"

Lloyd's a good player who like many needs to get a few games under his belt and play regularly to be at his best,.. he was quality against man city so if he can do it against them he can do it against most teams His time will come again and maybe in place of Vassell
fosseman Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 We'll have a totally different squad next season, whichever league we're in. I doubt Dyer will stay because Sven likes intelligent players. Sorry Lloyd!
Fox92 Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 I'm not that keen on Dyer. He is inconsistant so perhaps that what stopped him playing at the highest level with West Brom. When he is on form is can be unstopable because he has that pace factor that gives him an edge. However, he comes inside far to often for a winger which really anoys me because it gives Van Aanholt/Berner/Cunningham/Mee whoever the left back has been this season no option.
googie Posted 17 March 2011 Author Posted 17 March 2011 I must say your reply was soooo well thought out.must have used loads of your brain capacity to do that.Amazing.
Jimmy Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 he's useless on the left ans he never stays wide and doesn't seem to be able to cross either meaning he has to play on the right, he's probably a bigger goal thret from there then Vassell, an injury to either Vassell or the Yak would see him start on the right I'd imagine
Uncle Phil Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 I don't think his time's up at all, especially if we don't go up. His pace will always be a threat, even if it's on as a sub to take advantage of some weary legs. Even if the end product isn't always tip top his pace is another option, and if that's the difference between making opportunities and not, regardless of whether they're taken, then he'll be staying.
J.Lisemore Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 Would be sad to see him leave as he has been a quality signing for us, I doubt many people would have thought he'd have come this far in the first place... a free transfer from the then League 2 MK Dons.

I agree, although, against Man City he did show he can be a very serious goal threat didn't he?
blue army 1988 Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 Dyer is one of the best players at the club in my opinion and just becuase he dosn't start people are thinking Sven wants rid. Rubbish He is perfect as a sub to come on at 60 minutes and run rings round people with his pace and crossing. If gally or Vassell are injured then he is straight into the line up no questions asked. Dyer will be here for many more seasons to come
Uncle Phil Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 I agree, although, against Man City he did show he can be a very serious goal threat didn't he? Exactly, just because he's gone from 1st teamer to more of a squad member lately, doesn't mean his days are up.

Dyer will be here for many more seasons to come i agree sven changed his tactics for the four game blip we had. that is whi i belive dyer didnt play. plus think he picked up a injury. as for who siad howard is off in the summer he signed a new contract a few months back and is injured at the moment
The Year Of The Fox Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 Howard is a good player, we all saw that last year v cardiff away in the playoff! He brings another dimension to the team, and can change a game. Admittedly, the other dimension is route 1 football that we've been accustomed to at leicester, but sometimes thats the only way to beat teams in the championship. As for dyer, if he did go, and thatd be down to dyer wanting to get 1st team football rather than sven sending him away, hed be a big loss
SystonFox Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 Has Sven seen him on the bench press? Thats gotta b enough to be a club legebd
muzzy1981 Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 Dyer still has a big part to play in this season as an impact sub or just to mix it up against slow full-backs. Technically he's not that great though and we all know how much Sven likes the words 'technical ability'. Two factors will seal his fate I feel 1. Whether we go up or down, up = he goes down = possibly stay. 2. Whether many loan players stay and how Sven buys in the summer.

Dyer will be here for many more seasons to come If he's one of the best at the club, why is he perfect to come on as a sub? He's been good at times but to reiterate, inconsistent. A good squad player but I think we could improve next season.
cc_star Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 Dyer is erratic, but when he's peaking he's worth several Vassells who contributes so little I can't understand why Sven loves him so much, every attack that goes through him just evaporates into nothing & his goals per game is utter shit. I've no doubt it will be all change in the summer & anyone Sven doesn't fancy will be out
acooling08 Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 He is quick but can't cross and shoot. As a sub, he usually has very little impact and barely touches the ball.

Webbo Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 The fact that Sven consistently prefers Vassell when he has virtually no impact suggests that if Sven is here next season Dyer probably won't be.
Guest Col city fan Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 Highly rate dyer.... To even think about getting rid of one of the only players in the side with rapid pace is just daft.
dannythefox Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 He's not good enough if it wasn't for his pace he wouldn't even be on the bench. His finishing is crap!
