Well I'd sooner pay £4,000,000 for a young quality goalkeeper, who you know is better than the one you have, than get one for free whos close to retirement, past it and may not be better than the one you have.

Just because we have Sven in charge doesnt actually mean we can sign anyone we want.... besides... Ricardo came in outside of a transfer window... he was the best we could get at the time....

Are you actually a Leicester fan? Because I can read you referring to us as "you" (like someone from the outside) very often, but you never use "we".

Ricardo past it? 35 is a good age for a goalkeeper. Van der Sar is 40, Mark Schwarzer 38, Brad Friedel 39, Jens Lehmann 41, Jussi Jaaskelainen 36, Shay Given 35. They all past it? Heck, even Kasey Keller is still playing at age 41 (albeit in the MLS).

Well, yeah... ambitious theory. I give you that.

To be fair to the chap, his theory was considerably less ridiculous than your post-boro 'the ref must have been a racist' theory.

Excellent eccentric back-up.

Who cares if if he drops a clanger, he can always make up for it with a scorpion kick at the other end

Wildcard.

Our away kit next season?

If Rangers are as skint as we're led to believe, a bid for Allan McGregor wouldn't go amiss.

I doubt he'd cost a fortune and looked impregnable against Celtic today, saving a penalty in the process.

Goalkeeping coach, defensive coach... some people's heads should be on a platter.

anyone can drop a clanger on the pitch, but the constant mistakes are the fault of the management/coaching team. It the constant stream of mistakes which has cost us in every single game after the Cardiff one (where we were just lacklustre)

You can add the attacking coach as well. Too often a lack of numbers in the box, lack of movement, a low a shots-to-goals ratio, aimless crosses, no aerial ball winners, no near post runners, Wellens passing the buck instead of shooting, apparently unrehearsed/uniaginative free kicks and predictable corners, lack of real pace or people to go past defenders...
