Eriksson handed £10m to land Hesky and Given

If Sven spent £10 on Heskey and Given I would be disappointed. No way on god's earth they are worth that.

However it is the mirror, so I'm not too worried. lol

Given - yes, no question.

Heskey - no, he isn't the same player we remember, more of a clumsy oaf now. I would rather keep Yak, far better goals return.

Agreed!

Fair chance it's bull shit as why would Top come out and say here's 10 mil go get them. It just means that Villa would hold out til they got at least 6 mil from us for Heskey

random?

Its actually very precise!

They're just 2 players we've already been linked with, from about 100. And everyone knows we'll more than likely have a bit of cash in the summer. It'll either be really exciting or get old VERY quickly. Just imagine January on here but 10x worse.

A tenner for Heskey and Given is a great deal!

A quality goalkeeper - Yes please!

A Heskey, who we know will always give 100%, got great experience and can hold the ball. Might not score many but with a goalscorer next to him we could be laughing. Even perhaps as a centre-half!

Good stuff, but keep in mind the Mirror is usually the least reliable source

It definitely isn't when it comes to us. A fair few rumours but they've broken the news first with most stuff involving us recently.

Something stinks. As mentioned above, publicising the transfer budget doesn't make sense, looks more like lazy journalism where they've taken two previous transfer targets and picked the hallowed £10 million figure out of the archive and run this 'nothing' story. It would be alright if it happened but I'd be hoping for a wedge to be spent on securing Naughton.

From how I read it, it isn't saying that those two players will cost £10million together.. it's just saying he will have that amount to spend and those two are targets.

SVEN GORAN ERIKSSON is under orders to spend his way into the Premier League from Leicester's Thai owners.

Father and son partnership Vichai and Top Raksriaksorn will sanction the Swedish boss' bid to sign up to 12 players from Premier League clubs.

Manchester City keeper Shay Given and former Foxes striker Emile Heskey top his list of targets, while Eriksson also wants to make Yakubu's loan from Everton permanent.

I think Given will go to a top half of the table Prem outfit. Heskey is a possibility and I would take him at Championship level no question.

Guaranteed this isn't even a rumour, it's just recylced bullshit by lazy journalists.

The £10m has definitely already been mentioned and so were those two were alleged targets in jan so this really isn't news.

I think I'm going to have to avoid this thread as soon as the window opens again cause no doubt it will be absolutely full of all this rubbish.
