If the owner can't put the money where his mouth is, they'll be seeing League One action faster than Lucky Luke can draw against his own shadow.

That means we have opened negotiations and BCFC gave LCFC a transfer fee that they would do business at (to a championship club no less) As I mentioned before, I think Leicester will now put what they feel is a fair offer together that will likely be bumped up with add ons. If any BCFC fans think that that is beyond the realms of possibility they are kidding themselves. I don't say that in a spiteful way. But that is football for you. I broker million pound business deals and if I can get €2 million I will but I also know €1.5 million is a good deal so I sell at that. This scenario is no different whatsoever.

Posh and Udders are fully aware they're not as attractive as we are to their players right now, Bristol City fans seem to think they are. Delusional indeed.

Don't think people hate your chairman mate. I hate it when people misquote him though!! I think he's a very smart man and will try and keep you steady, there is nothing wrong with that. Smart men won't let a player walk for free when you can get £3m+ for them though, people not understanding that is frustrating.

However, when they accepted our offer he found out he wasn't wanted and when he spoke with us was delighted to join because of how much we wanted him. Not saying this is the same, but it may end up being....

No hatred towards your chairman at all, I think it's got to the stage of well my dads harder than yours! But there is a hell of a lot more to our owners than meets the eye, I am unsure what will happen regarding Maynard, I know we were going to make another bid but I spoke to my "contact" if you like, and he said he wasn't entirely sure we will land him now, our main target is Matt Mills at the moment as far as I am aware.

They want to keep him and will twist things as much as they can to make people think he's going nowhere. What he really thinks could be very different!!

Yes I know this but I can only see it being to a Premier league club as we have a high asking price. We've been amongst the top spenders in the division over the last four years. Ok? I'm not fussed to be honest.
sdb Posted 5 July 2011 Posted 5 July 2011 Joe and Liam have both indicated this aint happening. Don't know who, but several other people have said he's as good as agreed a contract with BCFC. I appreciate it's hard to take but all the signs are saying he wants to stay there/go up a league. In fact at no point has there ever been any suggestion he wants to come here. For a few weeks it was 'wait 'till he returns from holiday'. Well he has and nothing has happened. I'd love this to happen but a few of us are starting to get a little overly confident with regards to player recruitment. Fingers crossed i'm eating my words in a weeks time, but I aint holding my breath. I was careful to point out I think our fans are almost as bad!!
