lcfcadam Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 maynard doesnt want to go to you lot, if he did he would of handed in a transfer request when you first bid, besides its a step sideways at best, lets not forget you were only an average league one team not so long ago! you now have a failed england manager in charge and now your worldbeaters! if he was to go and at it was to the east midlands then coventry would be a better bet for him, much nicer city, stadium is 10x better than yours and the fan base potential is more significant than yours Even the people I know from Coventry appreciate that it is an absolute hell-hole whose main redeeming feature is a clever ring-road enabling you to exit the place as quickly as possible... Good first post bcfcag88, are we going to get to hear any more of your delightfully insightful views?
Babylon Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 We bidded £2m for him For who? Have you read the thread?
Fox1651 Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 :sge: "3 million pounds, yes?" "Narp" :sge: "errr.... 3.25 million pounds, yes? "Narp" :sge: "OK, OK, 3.5 million pounds and a Massy Ferguson, yes? "YARP! YARP! YARP!" You know its gonna happen. Brilliant, but the bloke who supposed to be from racist up their own arses brizzle shity is too well dressed to be realistic . . . . .
leicesterisme Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 We bidded £2m for him If your on about Maynard then no we didn't we've just had a 4m bid rejected. Bert said so.
Babylon Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Alan Young is a fan Just wondering who else Sven may have lined up, the price for strikers seems to start at 3.25m Alan Young is a nitwit. Dunno, so far we're just buying people who played well against us last year (ok slightly exaggerated that point). Any strikers score a brace against us?
Darkon84 Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 If your on about Maynard then no we didn't we've just had a 4m bid rejected. Bert said so. and Liam
Joe. Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Leon Best is a woeful excuse for a striker, it still baffles me how he managed to score in a game last season, let alone three times in one match. Wouldn't surprise me if we just stumped up the cash for Maynard now. We could be looking at a club record right here...
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 If your on about Maynard then no we didn't we've just had a 4m bid rejected. Bert said so. ahh yh schoolboy mistake
MrSpaM Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 4Mill?!? Money is just getting crazy now, surely we can afford to spend that sort of money on a proven premiership striker
Monkeh BCFC Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Not neccesarily, Maynard and his agent may sit tight hoping that BCFC give in to LCFC and then if BCFC agree to sell it is they who would be breaking the contract with Maynard so Maynard would be able to take more money from the deal. However, if Maynard requests a move then BCFC would be better of financially from the deal as it is Maynard that is breaking the contract. The other issue is that BCFC don't have an asking price as they are stating that Maynard is not for sale. The other issue is that if Maynard does put in a transfer request then BCFC may give in as no-one wants a player in their ranks that isn't committed to tje club. Lots of ifs and buts.... some one mention on our forum that if a championship club offer 8 million he'd be off, I think your last bid was 4 million that we turned down,
Babylon Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 4Mill?!? Money is just getting crazy now, surely we can afford to spend that sort of money on a proven premiership striker Which proven premier league striker would you suggest we can get for £4 and the sort of wages we'd offer Maynard.

FrankieADZ Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 i wonder its gonna be another interesting week I guess.

Jon the Hat Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 RobTannerMerc Rob Tanner Major developments on Maynard guys Its on. I am going to enjoy watching the Bristol City Rats leaving the sinking ship of denial...
Babylon Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Right, I've said it before and i'll say it again. Can their bloody fans actually read. Lets look at the statement on their OS. "Once again we have made clear our position. We do not wish to sell Nicky, especially to a rival club in our division." All I keep reading from them is how they have said he WON'T be sold to a championship club. There is a big difference between "won't" and "don't wish to".
Monkeh BCFC Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 This one made me laugh, if he was a billionaire I think we would know who he was or he would at least have his own Wikipedia page. I'll stand corrected if a BCFC fan can prove otherwise... As long as the figure isn't £5.5m, that brings back horrid memories. *akinbiyi* he's not a billionaire his busieness partner is, Lansdown is the 90th richest man in the uk with a net work fo 750 million, check the times rich list/football rich list/ forbes and his company Hargreaves Lansdown on the FTSE100
Joe. Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Its on. I am going to enjoy watching the Bristol City Rats leaving the sinking shit of denial... :: We'll see. Even IF this is an accepted bid, it doesn't mean he wants to join.
