blueblood88 Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 If you bid £5.5m it will be rejected. We'll move on then if it is. Getting boring now anyway.
Wink Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 We've shown today just how much we mean business, we've got a player that is very much capable of playing in the prem.. This will send signals out to any potential targets I.e. Maynard.. that if we want him then we will pay the price, if Sven feels he's the player he wants im sure he will get him.. There's no reason he would not want to be part of what were building here, now we just need to crack Bristol cities resolve and get that bid accepted :-)
FoxyPalace.com Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 If you bid £5.5m it will be rejected. If we do bid 5.5m and you reject it you can stick your Ginsters where the sun dont shine. Pure greed, can wait for him to either sign for us or walk away on a free!!
lestajigs Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 If we bid 5.5million i really don't think they would be able to refuse, they'd be stupid not to tbh. Plus, Maynard will have seen who we have been signing and I think that will sway in our favour Fingers crossed hey
dannythefox Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 If you bid £5.5m it will be rejected. Fvcking dream on, get your head out the sand!
Frost Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Am I the only one who thinks it would be crazy to bid 5m for Maynard?
Aidy3 Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Wouldn't be too bothered about waiting and getting him on a free next year. Pretty confident he wouldnt reject us with the way our squads developing. unless he has one hell of a season.
dannythefox Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Am I the only one who thinks it would be crazy to bid 5m for Maynard? Nope but i dont think is mills is either so let just pay it!
sdb Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 If you bid £5.5m it will be rejected. I'd doubt that. Way over the valuation for a very good championship player who has 1 year left on his contract and broke his leg a year ago. If it were rejected, I'd move on. In fact, £4.5mill with add ons would be my limit.
Redski Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 It's got nothing to do with greed or having our head in the sand. He's our player and we are currently holding contract negotiations with him so why would we ruin that by accepting a bid lower than our value of him?
Joe. Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 From what I gather it'll take at least £5 million just to get the chairman's ear. If we want him that badly we'll be paying a huge wedge of add-ons.
Wink Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 One of the best strikers outside the prem.. It's gonna cost us, if mills is worth 5m then surely the same for Maynard.. Although I'm sure bristol city will be thinking they can get more money out of us now!
blueblood88 Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 I think we should make one final bid of 5million tomorrow. If that is rejected then its time to forget Maynard, and go for someone like Bothroyd, Billy Sharp etc. BCFC are just being plain greedy now.
lestajigs Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 If we would get maynard, that would just be the icing on the cake, we would cause havoc in this division!!!
Joe. Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Well how much do you think we'd want for King? It's exactly the same kind of situation.
blueblood88 Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 It's got nothing to do with greed or having our head in the sand. He's our player and we are currently holding contract negotiations with him so why would we ruin that by accepting a bid lower than our value of him? You bloody well have got your head in the sand, every player has his price. I'd be worried if I were a BCFC fan right now, surely if he wanted to be there, he would have signed a new contract seeing as your off on tour tomorrow
Collymore Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 ...I think Tunchev coming through preseason unscathed would be like another 5m signing too
Wink Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 It's got nothing to do with greed or having our head in the sand. He's our player and we are currently holding contract negotiations with him so why would we ruin that by accepting a bid lower than our value of him? In your opinion he's worth more, yet has a year left on his contract.. Im sure Arsenal feel Nasri is worth more than 20m being quoted, and Villa feel Young was worth more than 15m, ESP if they value downing at 20m.. He has clubs pushing HARD for promotion, and no disrespect but they way we are building our squad must be in a better position to offer him a way to the prem than yourselves.. Why would he sign a new contract if he wants to progress and further his career??
wayne76 Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 If we do bid 5.5m and you reject it you can stick your Ginsters where the sun dont shine. Pure greed, can wait for him to either sign for us or walk away on a free!! QUALITY
Redski Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 I understand the frustrations around this saga however our stance has been the same from day one NM is not for sale!! You have chose to ignore that 3 times and been told 3 another 3 times he's not for sale. So unless you are prepared to break the bank this isn't going to happen.
lestajigs Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Well how much do you think we'd want for King? It's exactly the same kind of situation. I think we would sell him for 5million, but I can't see them accepting 5 for Maynard, greedy gits
Libertine Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 I think we would sell him for 5million, but I can't see them accepting 5 for Maynard, greedy gits They'd rather not sell him at all, hardly greed.
