bettso Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 As much as i'd love to see Maynard here I have to agree with RedFox. If he was going to come here, we would have handed in a transfer request by now. I'm sure Sven has other targets that we will land and be just as happy with but we just have to wait and see who as I think the penny has probably dropped that this one aint gonna happen.

Why because BCFC will not sell to another Championship club, they can afford David James, they can afford to keep Nicky Maynard. Maynard is happy at BCFC, has NOT handed in a transfer request and will only leave for the premiership! SO lets MOVE ON! Fact: The Bristol City Chairman is ten times more wealthy than ours & will not sale to us Fact: BCFC will make Maynard their highest earner, even on more wages than David James down there Fact: Sven is trying to buy his way out of this league, lets hope our chairman has deep pockets & we do go up! What strikers should we go for instead? Roberts (Nope) good strong striker but heading fast towards his sell by date! Sharp (Nope) an ok "fox in the box" striker but not in the class of Maynard Macheda on loan?

Vichai has a personal wealth of around 125 million but his company is by far more than Lansdown will ever see. People need to research how wealthy our owners actually are.

Steve Lansdown is worth approx £700 million and rising his sidekit on the board someone Dawe is even wealthier, they are the two major players on their board! Its not a simple case of one person owns it like Branson owns Virgin. Its more like Tesco as are most retail businesses, ownership is usually confusing but as far as im aware KP is the major shareholder in AFI which is the sole owner of Leicester City football Club
