From the Bristol City forum:

"Well, Leicester have had a 5m bid accepted for a Reading centre back - Matt Mills.

I think the price for Maynard just went through the roof..."

AND

"It's about time somebody told the Ageing Baldy Swedish Lothario to go forth, multiply and throw his money in another direction..............and take NO for an answer".

Could be spot on with that, as usually strikers do fetch more money than defenders. Both are proven in the Championship so I would of thought the BCFC chairman is rubbing his hands.

Although it also might mean the deal is dead with Maynard and Mills then became No1 target....

John Carew come on down...... :scarf:

But surely it will be worth the money to see us win every week?

Not on your nelly.

Tickets are already overpriced with city - £27 for an adult ticket in the kop for 17 games and for the first, last, boxing day and forest, derby, cov fixtures it was £31 for an adult in the kop.

Those prices are extortionate. We could be playing against the best teams from jupiter, mars and pluto & any increase on those prices would still be a disgrace.

If you're poor you're no longer accepted at our club.

Stop moaning and be gone

lol lol lol lol

Brett Pitman is a better finisher than Nicky to be fair. Nicky just has that extra bit of pace.

Nice to see Nicky is still with the squad in Portugal though.

He'll be at Leicester by August 1st.

Just think how much it would cost to go to away games at Jupitor, Mars and Pluto...........................

Pitman scored his first goal for Bristol City in the 2–0 win over Leicester City.

As of 16 January 2011, Pitman has gone on a run of 7 goals in 7 games for Bristol City including a classy snap-shot in City's 3–0 romp over Cardiff on 11 January. Pitman was Bristol City's top scorer, with 13 goals, in his first season at the club, despite only starting 21 times.

also there is mc pitman from coalville

I am quite happy with what i am paying this season , a season ticket for both myself and my son hs workedout to £8.50 each per match . ABSOLUTE BARGAIN :scarf:

And if this signing comes off christmas has come early :santa:

The real problem here is the 20% sell-on clause, this makes anything other than a ridiculous bid difficult for Bristol City to substantially profit from

They need to substantially profit to not only replace him but also strengthen their squad.

I say we just raise our offer a bit & then sit on it... It'll be far more than anyone else is willing to pay and infinitely more than they'll get in January and obviously next summer.

It'll be our cash offer Vs Forests players + cash and now Earnshaw has joined Cardiff, Forest have less to bargain with

Yes but they need to realise the coont walks for free this time next year. They should take our £4 million and go and party in their barns, as a) he's not worth that and b) they could put together a decent mid-table team with that dough.

Neither do Man City but Tevez wants to leave... And lets face it, Bristols a dump.. :innocent:

You really are a fool. lol

Out of all the factors between us I think the city of Bristol is one of the attractive factors on our side.

I like Bristol.

Anyway, my Bournemouth supporting mate would have a field day with this Brett Pitman chat. I spent five years hearing him rant about him lol
