StanSP Posted 1 May 2011 Posted 1 May 2011 I can't remember which league games I saw him in, but as well as the 2 matches against Exeter in the JPT semis, he looked pretty sharp and was always willing to take players on and threaten the defence. I know that's not all there is to a winger but those were his stand-out qualities in addition to the above mentioned.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 1 May 2011 Posted 1 May 2011 Grant Holt I think he is an amazing player. Imagine him and Yakubu upfront together.
Finnegan Posted 1 May 2011 Posted 1 May 2011 Yasuhito Endo - Good playmaker, great at set pieces. Too old.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 1 May 2011 Posted 1 May 2011 Joe Lewis/Mackail Smith anyone? Why, oh why do people rate Joe Lewis?! He is a liability. Almost a young David James but eben worse at dropping clanger's. Posh fans dont particularly rate him and dont expect to get more than 500K for him. CMS I'm not sure about, but you'd get a 100% player and someone who will run and run and run. Rather him than a few other names. I'd like to see someone like Danny Graham, or even Helguson from QPR who I heard was out of contract. In reality I think we need a player in almost every position.

You're not going to convince anyone sadly. I've tried to tell people but they just don't listen.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 1 May 2011 Posted 1 May 2011 You're not going to convince anyone sadly. I've tried to tell people but they just don't listen. These are people who see the odd highlights on the FL show, etc, ratehr than see him live a fair bit which I have. If he was actually that good, he wouldnt be in that league now, you wouldnt have to pay much for him either. Its quite clear that he really isnt that good, but people like you say wont be convinced.
rico Posted 1 May 2011 Posted 1 May 2011 Fabian Delph, not getting many games at Villa, might be worth a punt on?
Fox92 Posted 1 May 2011 Posted 1 May 2011 Nick Montgomery? I hate him because I asked for his autograph when Sheffield United visited Worksop in a friendly, and he said no But, he's got the expierience at this level and he gets stuck in and wins the ball back.
sdb Posted 1 May 2011 Posted 1 May 2011 1 of Westwood, Sorensen or Kuszack (= free) Ab Faye, K Naughton, G Cunningham (loan) (= £3mill-ish for KN) 2 of Heskey, Maynard and Yakubu (=£5 mill max) We'd be favourites to go up with 4/5 of them.
Liamlcfc1 Posted 1 May 2011 Posted 1 May 2011 Pele Maradona and fat Ronaldo with Shillton in goal we will walk the championship next season

Nick Posted 1 May 2011 Posted 1 May 2011 Junior Lewis gotta be player/coach, surely?! Quite frankly Stan, I'd put him in nets right now.
Nick Posted 1 May 2011 Posted 1 May 2011 I'd like to see something a bit like this: Kris Commons Scott Sinclair Jimmy Kebe Westwood Yakubu & Heskey (Yes I'd have them both!) Jamie Ward

Cropwellfox Posted 1 May 2011 Posted 1 May 2011 Three i would go for, but I don't think we'll get (although of course money talks) Naughton (though if he was to leave Spurs think it would be for a promoted team i.e. QPR) Kebe (Not sure he'd leave even if Reading stay down) Westwood - one that any promoted team would be in for i'm sure Possibly more realistic permanent options, alongside some premiership loanees again next season? Nick Montgomery Darren Ambrose Marvin Sordell Greg Cunningham Joe Murphy Nick Maynard Dan Shittu Michele Liegertwood
