bred leicester and dad + grandad were city fans - did nearly end up missing out on football all togther though - up until about 5 (i think) i went to the rugby more than the football, Hadn't been to a football match and wasn't really interested in football until 7 or 8 when i went with my dad and one of his friends to a local non-league game (might have been hinckley).

'cos we got promoted to the Premiership in 02/03 so my dad got me a season ticket for 03/04 so we could watch the opposition / Premiership quality football. I got hooked and supported Leicester ever since lol

Dad supports them and took me from an early age, never felt the need to support anyone else.

We have our ups and downs but I enjoy following the club around the country.

Born, bred and passed down. As would be the answer from my kids as well,,,they've taken the usual stick at school for not supporting man utd or arsenal etc,,,and i'm proud they won't be turned!

My dad used to take me to all the home games (as a girl it, wasn't the norm then),,and id have a vimto and a cheese and onion crusty cob at the club afterwards,,,don't i sound old?!

I used to sit in front of the telly and listen to the classified results on away days,,,"helping" my grandad fill in the form from the back of The Sun,,,,happy days!

Been passed down from my Dad. Family are all Leicester born and bred except for me lol.

Only ever got to go to 1 game with him (my first game ever) after supporting City all my life on Fox Sports World (Now FSC).

His ashes lay proudly in the memorial garden and i always try to blow him a kiss before games.

My dad.

Supported United as a very young kid when I was first getting into footbal (As most young kids getting into football do), went about 4 times to see them, but then realised I wouldn't be able to see them week in/week out (Sums it all up when I was 5 or 6 and realised that, yet there are grown men that support teams that they will hardly ever see live, live no-where near them, just because they win everything).

Speak for yourself! Some of us would never have been allowed to do that!

Dad's from Leicester and has lived in Peterborough since the 80s, and got me into supporting City.

Born and Bred Leicester, but my Dad was a United fan. Would probably say I supported both teams (primarily United) until the '96 playoff final and, by degrees, I became a fully fledged City fan. :trumpet:

Born and bred in leicester (and proud I might add), started going down properly in the short time mark mcghee was in charge, since then there's only been 2 years where I've not been a season ticket holder when I was living in cheltenham at uni.

Oooh where abouts in Groby? I lived on Lena Drive just off the A50 for the first 7 yrs of my life, then up to Fern Crescent till I was 16. Then we buggered off t'countryside!

Oh right, I'm pretty much the other end really. I live on Pinetree Avenue, just before you get to budgens and lady jane grey on the left!

Being born in the skegness area in 1968, when i was growing up most people supported liverpool, man utd, leeds or f####t(due to what they did in late 70's) I was actually a man utd fan as a kid but had relations in scraptoft so always looked for their result.I started supporting them in the early 80's. The first game i went to was in 84 when we were at my relations and i talked my dad into taking me to the game. It was against villa and i think we won 5-0 with a lineker hat trick? i didnt go to many games for a while as i played football most saturdays, but broke my leg in my early 20s so didnt play for a few years and started coming down on the train and although we were awful at the time((pleat era) i really enjoyed the day out and always went in the kop.Unfortunately i dont get to many games these days as i have a wife 2 kids and a mortgage and cant afford it but i do still get to a few games when i can. I have had a a lot of ups and downs supporting city when i could have had an easy time supporting man utd but i wouldnt change a single minute :chant:

Is budgens still there?? I remember when it was built! When the parents seprated my mum moved to lime tree grove (I think that's what it was called?!? - on that new estate not far from budgens - well, I say new...this was 1991!!!)

Maybe it was lime avenue!! - just looked - yes it was lime avenue! :chant:

Born in Leicester - Lived in Loughborough all my life. Dad and Uncle both season ticket holders through out the 60s and 70s and 90s.

It's my local team so i support them. I'd support them regardless of what level they where in.

I hate all this "well i've lived in Watford all my life but Man U are awesome so their my team" BS. (this is a friend's story)

If they're not your local team - or you don't have a strong family tie - then you've no right to support them.

Yeah I'm pretty certain it would've been Lime Avenue! lol

Yup, still going! I think at one stage it got bought and the name changed maybe once or twice but it's been Budgens for a good few years again and has all sorts of stuff now it never used to.

Was sat in my office not that long after moving up here, when some people came in trying to sell me advertising space at Filbert Street, telling me my company would have national coverage every Saturday on MOTD. Told them I wasn't into football at all and not interested, but I started looking out for results in the Merc and it seemed like we lost virtually every match that season. So I guess it was something very English in me and I found myself rooting for the underdog and it just kinda grew from there really :scarf:
