Issues in Sport that make you sigh

If you coming to the football dont wear a fooking rugby jersey, it looks pony. My opinion.

Noticed quite a lot of these against Ipswich, think they may have been going straight to the tigers match afterwards, what a great day. Seeing city win then getting bladdered watching the tigers on the same afternoon

On the injured player who has to leave the pitch issue. Teams who are winning waste time by faking injury, a guy who sits near me said they should be off the pitch 5 mins it will soon iron out genuine injury and faking it.

Been thinking/saying this fir a while now. If the player has a genuine injury, then 5 mins off the pitch having treatment can only be of benefit to him. If a player rolls round like a big girl at the slightest touch(cheating!) then if he had to go off for 5 mins I think the managers would soon tell them to stop cheating, so eradicating this from the game.

If you're going to both just wear non team apparel.

Why care what shirt they're wearing? Didn't know football stadiums had dress codes...

Forgot about Barcelona.

So overhyped. They score one goal and then just pass the ball along the back 4 until the match finishes and people think that they play quality football... blah blah.

They dive. They influence the refs and then have the audacity to claim Mourinho is lying. Busquets is a racist but that got sweeped under the carpet, just like Madrid's other complaints which were ALL true. Fcuk off Barca.

I agree that the diving and the play-acting is disgraceful, I'd agree that Busquets is a prized willy puller and I'd agree that a lot of people to get ridiculously sycophantic about Barca even when they're not playing great. But they currently are the best team in the world by some distance. The problem they have is, like with Spain, the only real defence against the way they play (unless you can do it better than them) is to shut up shop. Xavi made a good point in a recent interview with a British newspaper, responding to criticisms that Spain had been boring in the World Cup pointing out that it wasn't Spain that was boring - it was the teams they were playing against. Which is true.

Unfortunately if a side decides to shut up shop 100% and just sit there, dropping off to deep in their own half and marking up, there isn't a lot a side like Barcelona or Spain can do other than keeping passing it around their defenders and midfielders until someone in front of them can get in to some space to receive a pass. They do have to be patient and it isn't all that entertaining to watch.

The stuff about FIFA / UEFA bias and Mourinho's ridiculous conspiracy theories were laughable, though. Especially when you consider that it's largely the other way around, Real Madrid have long been the favourites of the Spanish FA and have received noticeable bias.

Because we wear Blue and White not Green White and Red!

It makes us look like mugs.

If they are so insistent on doing it stick it in a bag and put it on after you have left.

How many LCFC shirts do you see at Welford Road?

And if there are any they shouldn't be worn there either.

I could'nt agree more.

I've spoken to so many people who wont have a bad word said against them.

But like you say they get away with all sorts because of the flashes of brilliance.

I am no Manure lover by a long way but I hope they roast them next weekend.

It hardly "makes us look like mugs" - as long as they don't turn up in another football teams replica (i hate seeing shirts of "the big 4" at the walkers) i couldn't care less.

They're showing their support for our local teams, wheres the problem in that?

Everyone should have to dress in full batting gear - pads and all - when watching the football.

Not a chance.

The helmet would look terrible. Batting gear minus the helmet, which we replace with a choice of fez, trilby or top-hat.

Rugby fans that think they're much superior than anyone related to football.

Personally wouldn't wear a city shirt to the tigers or vice versa but wouldn't have a problem with it.

edit: that extends to cricket, basketball or anything else

I have to agree with Al though, anyone who wears a top 4 shirt, or any other football team shirt (bar England) should do one.

I realise often it's younger children, but when I have kids and force them to support city, there's no way their gonna get away with any other shirt than a City one!

I was just thinking where did that 'We are Premier League' chant come from? Is it just me who thinks it's a cringeworthy sky Sports induced chant? And can somebody explain why being in the Premier League means that you are the Premier League? Please God don't let us ever chant that.

What happened to the traditional 'We are Goin Up'?
