I don't think Johan Elmander is particularly likely to come to City, the fact he's available for nothing is massively irrelevant. So whats your point then? He'd probably take Waggy's place, but he's played more at this level and scored more goals... FT is again proving it to have a huge amount of ******, believing we should be signing players like Messi, just because we've got a bit of cash. We're NOT going to be signing Premier League quality players, just because we've got a big of cash now. I agree, proven Championship players like Danny Graham are what we should be aiming at, but there wouldn't be much wrong with signing a 22 year old lad, trying to prove himself. So who IS a promotion signing that is realistic and affordable? Bothroyd on a free is realistic Michael Owen on a free Maynard 3-4 mill WAGHORN OOO hang on he plays for us already WAGGY IS BETTER THAN EVANS, no pace, no strength, no consistancy, and hardly scored for sheff utd so leave it out

Donut Posted 24 May 2011 Posted 24 May 2011 Yakubu, Borini, Vela, Giudetti were all LOANED from the permiership top clubs to various clubs last season too, the loan market is a key to success PROVIDING they are here to want to be here, prove a point, use it as a stepping stone £1 million pounds can certainly buy you a experienced, quality championship goalkeeper or commanding centre back which is badly needed, there are numerous possible targets, and frees PRUDENT spending. If we didnt have this big cash injection, we would spend PRUDENTLY, we wouldnt go and blow £1 million on Evans, £3 million on Waghorn.......... poor use of finances

Well there's one major one, and that's that the season isn't even fucking over yet. Jesus wept, how do you know Sven isn't trying his hardest to sign these players, but keeping it under wraps so other clubs don't interfere etc? And then, of course, you might want to sit down for this guys, but; we're only Leicester City. Johan Elmander's agreed contract terms with Galatasary, or so I read, maybe that's why Sven hasn't signed him already. Because there are much, much bigger and better clubs who need strikers, we're not the only club in the world who want these guys. They're not our little secret. Everyone knows they're available, lots of clubs are probably sniffing around. Please, please just be patient. Wait and see what happens in a few weeks, maybe even a months time. Then when something, anything actually happens, complain if you must.

Vålerenga, Rosenborg, Valencia, Roma, Besiktas, Lyon, Aston Villa and Stoke couple with 86 caps and 23 goals for Norway. Decent career that. 1 in 3 during his time with Villa as well. Elmander like Heskey has never been known as a great goal scorer, but his physical play is about on par with Heskey and I'd say he's better technically than Bruno. Been quite decent for Bolton this season as well I gather...

Of couse they need people to blame, they went down. Find me a quality critique for any of there players from this season. I am sure he had a poor season. Does not mean that he is not capable of being a much better player in the future.
