Bezzanator89 Posted 22 July 2011 Posted 22 July 2011 Confirmation of Naughton's season-long loan to Norwich. Apparently we put in a £5m bid and failed so apparently we tried. http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/260419/Norwich-sign-Kyle-Naughton- Best of luck to the guy, thanks for everything you've done Naughton
MikeyT Posted 22 July 2011 Posted 22 July 2011 Naughton was fantastic for us and i'm sure everyone on this forum wishes him all the best. Really hope he does well. A future England defender in the making.
Bezzanator89 Posted 22 July 2011 Posted 22 July 2011 While we had him, he was a consistent performer and he'll go far. Easily one of my players of the season. But to quote the film Gladiatior: "We will see you again, but not yet, not yet..." Close thread time Mods, thank you and goodnight. Good luck Naughton.
Fox 4 Life Posted 22 July 2011 Posted 22 July 2011 One of the papers said he has gone to them after we failed with a 5m bid! Surely we could have got him back on loan
norfolkfox222 Posted 22 July 2011 Posted 22 July 2011 Absolutely gutted he's gone to the budgies, **** sake!!! I hope they dont ruin the young prospect!!!!
Leicfox Posted 22 July 2011 Posted 22 July 2011 Deserves a chance in the top flight and I'm sure he'll do very well. He has all the right attributes to go to the very top. Good luck to him and Norwich.
Guest Posted 22 July 2011 Posted 22 July 2011 When Norwich are relegated and we're promoted he'll be sold to us.
One Arm Babba Posted 22 July 2011 Posted 22 July 2011 I think it's highly likely that spurs want to keep him and see a future for him at the club. By loaning him to Norwich he will gain a years premier league experience. If he copes well he will probably be integrated in to the Spurs first team squad along with Kyle Walker. It's a shame for us, but, unfortunately Norwich can offer premier league football this year and we cant until next year
Fox92 Posted 22 July 2011 Posted 22 July 2011 Yes, Naughton was good. But, he's gone to Norwich now and good luck to him. But, we have Peltier in and I am fully confident that he will be just as good as Naughton.
Ash Posted 22 July 2011 Posted 22 July 2011 I was sad and gutted when i saw he had gone Norwich, i always had this little feeling Sven may be able to get him back down here, guessing Spurs wanted him getting Premiership experience instead of Championship? All the best to the lad though, he was quality down here and always gave it 100%
Wherethefoxhat? Posted 22 July 2011 Posted 22 July 2011 Annoying! I think we could've got him had we tried!
Austin Posted 22 July 2011 Posted 22 July 2011 Wish him the best of luck in his career, was a cracking player for us
DorsetFox9 Posted 22 July 2011 Posted 22 July 2011 Naughton's performances on loan at Filbert Street in the Championship last season earned him a place in the Professional Footballers' Association divisional team of the year - an accolade he also received two years previously. WOW BBC are bad.

Criggers Posted 22 July 2011 Posted 22 July 2011 The question I'd like an answer for but will never get is: If we had gone up would spurs have sold him to us? Or would they have still wanted a loan deal to see how he deals with the PL? Funny how things can work our isn't it.
