Aidy3 Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 Looks like we may get priced out or maybe it's a ploy to make it look like we haven't got money falling out of our arses? i think that's what it is, so that other clubs dont think we have unlimited cash and ask for more, just like Man City!
Bryn Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 That price will come down, I don't think anyone will pay it, but I don't think it will come as far as £3m, which you'd expect is probably the upper transfer fee for a club like Leicester. There are probably better options, factoring in cost - Zuiverloon for example.
Guest Bilo Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 It's pretty clear what Sven's saying. We're interested in buying, just lower the price and we'll talk. The fact that Naughton has already said he's up for coming back could swing it in our favour as well.
Babylon Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 Would take Jenas and Kranjar (sp?) Tbh So would 90% of the teams in the Premier.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 Alnwick, keane and naughton please :-) You have got to be joking!! Was awful when he was here the last time. One of the worst keepers (in a long line of shite) in the Noughties!!
The Year Of The Fox Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 Stansp- 'another waghorn' Do you go to the games? I could count on one hand the games waghorn had a decent amount of time on the pitch and in his correct position.
Danno Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 Stansp- 'another waghorn' Do you go to the games? I could count on one hand the games waghorn had a decent amount of time on the pitch and in his correct position. Stop bumming off him.
topharry123 Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 He's one of the few players that we have had in recent times that I believe can play at the top level for many years to come. If we get the chance to take him for 4-5m I think we should do it. His quality is there for everyone to see, and he is young with a long career ahead of him. I'm certain he'll be an england full team player one day, we need to sign while we can, if we get the chance.
topharry123 Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 Wonder how much we could pay for all them players.....premiership quality team right there! just shows that Spurs are seriously stepping up their bid for the titel race if they're going to get rid of them players!
top cheese Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 even if you could get naughton on another year long loan. then hopefully get into the priemiership where you could use the extra cash to buy him. it would be great.
Jake SH Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 Kyle Naughton be a fabulous signing almost certain to make English Right Back one day, i think its a fair valuation 4-5 mill, its a shame about the money because he still has bags of potential, unless we made a good impression and he would want to come back to us desperately hehehe
Leicester_Loyal Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 I'd pay £3 million for him, I hope Spurs drop their valuation by a million or two.
Walshy5 Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 Does anyone know what happened in jan? Because rumour had it we were all set to sign him for around 2.5 million and then we ended up loaning him again. I fear this will come back to haunt us
Stevosevic Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 Does anyone know what happened in jan? Because rumour had it we were all set to sign him for around 2.5 million and then we ended up loaning him again. I fear this will come back to haunt us There is your answer.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 Bumming off him. What does that mean? Wanting to give the bloke a fair crap of the whip doesn't mean I'm 'bumming off him' -whatever that means. Moron
phillthefox Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 to be honest if spurs want 4-5 mill for naughton i would stump up the cash and get him here, by far best right back in championship GET ON IT SVEN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Alex Black Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 Bumming off him. What does that mean? Wanting to give the bloke a fair crap of the whip doesn't mean I'm 'bumming off him' -whatever that means. Moron I believe it means singing his praise to an over the top level.
Alex Black Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 "Bumming off" aside, I think Kyle was a great part of our side last season, performed excellently and scored some fantastic goals. Yes he would be an awesome asset to the side; But I don't think, given the reputation he's gained, that he will sign for the Foxes. Warnock made it clear he wanted him and if he has the opportunity to get first team Premiership football I wish him all the best. And I look forward to supporting him again when he's wearing an England shirt!
smudger63 Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 Naughtons a great player, and he was arguably our best player last season, but i wouldn`t pay more than 2.5 million. He`s fantastic going forward, but still needs some work defensively, and i`ve no doubt will he will improve, but he`s not the finished article yet. I do think one of the problems we`re going to have, is that every club and player we`re going to be dealing with, are going to think we`re minted, and so will ask us to pay over the odds. Headlines in the media like, "Svens got unlimited funds", really do not help!
funkyrobot Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 You have got to be joking!! Was awful when he was here the last time. One of the worst keepers (in a long line of shite) in the Noughties!! Yeh Alnwick was useless
funkyrobot Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 Kyle Naughton be a fabulous signing almost certain to make English Right Back one day, i think its a fair valuation 4-5 mill, its a shame about the money because he still has bags of potential, unless we made a good impression and he would want to come back to us desperately hehehe He'll have Kyle walker in front of him for the England rb position I would expect.
dannythefox Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 I carnt work out how some people think Naughton is only worth 2or3M spurs bought him and Walker for 8or9M from Sheff Utd and my friend whos a sheff fan has been with me to three games this season and says Naughton looks better than he did when he was there so i would doubt they would take less than they paid for him.
