Nick Posted 1 June 2011 Posted 1 June 2011 It doesn't matter what I want - if Sven wants him, I'm alright with that.
artursteppe Posted 1 June 2011 Posted 1 June 2011 It doesn't matter what I want - if Sven wants him, I'm alright with that. Just said exactly the same to a pal of mine. I trust Sven, and I cannot believe that Sven would have Marlon King in the club if he did not feel it was the right thing to do for Leicester City. There are too many other options, but Sven, whoever he chooses will be right. Marlon King and Emile Heskey up front could be formidable, if it were to happen.
superfox1980 Posted 1 June 2011 Posted 1 June 2011 On playing ability and what he could bring to the team then get him in I say. Thought he was one of the best strikers to play at the walkers last season. If Sven wants him then at the of the day there's bugger all anyone can do about is there !!
MPH Posted 1 June 2011 Posted 1 June 2011 no thank you. what signal would signing him send to our female fans?
nuttytimmy Posted 1 June 2011 Posted 1 June 2011 No - end of. I don't want him impressing on young boys (and, for that matter, ones who are old enough to know better). That, and we are supposed to be a 'family' club - King's employment would somewhat counter that message. I believe we also have a high proportion of female fans in the ranks, higher than many clubs I'm led to believe. Any signing of King flies in the face of everything this club stands for.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 1 June 2011 Posted 1 June 2011 Not botherd, aslong as he gives it his all then i dont care
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 1 June 2011 Author Posted 1 June 2011 interesting replies some of you saying that as long as he scores it doesnt matter. I can't concur though as the guy has had 15 offences for one thing or another. And people say about giving someone a second chance he's had 15 chances. I hate the guy and don't want him going near the club. It would mess up our reputation and make us a laughing stock!!!
Kent Posted 1 June 2011 Posted 1 June 2011 I don't think anybody would want him here 'regardless of goals' if he scored 2 all season. 20 though? Sign him up...
escos Posted 1 June 2011 Posted 1 June 2011 No, and if he does sign the club will not get another penny of mine untill he leaves!!
Fox92 Posted 1 June 2011 Posted 1 June 2011 Not botherd, aslong as he gives it his all then i dont care I agree. I'm not interested in what players do off of the pitch, I like the media to look at thier footballing ability. And from what I saw of him last season, he will bring us movement and goals so I'll have that. It can be said about alot of players, didn't Jack Wilshere do something the same, but he still wears an England shirt and I'd have him at Leicester. As long as King wears a Leicester shirt and is backed up by the manager then I'll support him.
dannythefox Posted 1 June 2011 Posted 1 June 2011 What he did was totally out of order and everyone no's that but that does not mean he cannot come to Leicester and do a good job for us he would do well here. But I don't think he would come here now anyway because he wont get the backing of the fans and he will probably stay where he is.
lcfcadam Posted 1 June 2011 Posted 1 June 2011 There are plenty of footballers who score goals that we could buy. Why the hell would we want to choose low-life scum over all the other options?! Some people talk as if he's the only striker within our price-range that's any good...
Karljohn Posted 1 June 2011 Posted 1 June 2011 Couldnt give a toss whether he scores 2 or 20,works in a warehouse or sits on his ass all day drawing jobseekers, they've put dogs down for less. And he's bound to look class in a team that's as dire as Cov.
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 1 June 2011 Posted 1 June 2011 It doesn't matter what I want - if Sven wants him, I'm alright with that. Exactly what I thought
thybluefox Posted 1 June 2011 Posted 1 June 2011 I can't see Sven going for him anyway, he knows it'd cause ripples through the fans and therefore the players. That's not in his ethos.
superfox1980 Posted 1 June 2011 Posted 1 June 2011 People are very being slightly hypercritical here. There have been many instances of footballers breaking the law and acting inappropriately, but that's ok is it ? Drink driving, fighting etc....... Yes what he did was totally wrong there's no doubt about it and personally he wouldn't be my first choice of players to sign but like I said earlier IF he does sign then there's sod all you/ we cab do about it. Be very interesting to see peoples reactions if he smashes the goals in..........
Adster Posted 1 June 2011 Posted 1 June 2011 I can't see Sven going for him anyway, he knows it'd cause ripples through the fans and therefore the players. That's not in his ethos. But signing Lee Hughes for Notts County is?
ibbosuk Posted 1 June 2011 Posted 1 June 2011 OH YES! You carn't beat abit of bully.... Get him in here asap..................
lcfcadam Posted 1 June 2011 Posted 1 June 2011 Be very interesting to see peoples reactions if he smashes the goals in.......... I'd cheer for the team when he scored, not for him. When talking about matches where he played well, I would say that he played well. But I would never say I was happy to have him on the team. You would NEVER hear me singing "One Marlon King! etc" that's for sure...
acooling08 Posted 1 June 2011 Posted 1 June 2011 If he was brilliant then maybe, but he isn't, and we can do better.
