Dont even know who it is yet so dont get your hopes up

Especially considering it was Pantsil.... No others close except Ball.

Has it actually been confirmed anywhere reliable that we have any kind of interest in Ebanks-Blake?

No. That's what I'm trying to find out - where has it been mentioned - and how reliable is the source. Outfox the Fox thought it was some guy called Midland Fox (or similar !) and he posted it on one of the Maynard threads (but there are SO many !).

So is there any truth to this SEB rumour Bert?? I agree, defo get 20+ goals a season for us.

Nothing concrete on this. We're still pursuing Maynard so until we either get him/give up/BC won't sell then I Would say it's only a rumour. That's not to say we're not interested in SEB though - he could be a backup if Maynard fails.

Thanks Bert. I agree with you - SEB could be an alternative, if Maynard falls through. My Wolves supporting mate, did say that it's rumoured to be a signing, "before the start of the season". 2+ weeks yet !

I still think the door will be open for Maynard over the week-end. If we ain't got him by Monday, Sven will bring someone else in by the middle of next week. Could be anyone - Yakubu or Heskey, or Ebanks-Blake or Tevez on loan, or whatever. Stay calm!

I think this weekend is long enough. Then get on with the next on the list. We can always come back in for Maynard with a much lower offer in January when we're in the top 2 and Bristol are mid-table.

Man City don't agree a fee with any club. Tevez gets mardy as he wants to leave, and refuses to play. Man City loan him out to the Championship- to Leicester City

Maynard and Ebanks-Blake are very similar players. They play in similar positions, are hard working and pacy and rarely waste chances when presented. They both like to play alongside a 'hold up' player - though not necessarily a big striker - but don't do well in a lone striker role, as McCarthy likes to play at Wolves . I think either could work well with the likes of Nugent.

Thanks for the info.
