AoWW Posted 18 June 2011 Posted 18 June 2011 Selling out? It feels a bit like selling out. It feels like we're RMs bitch (in that we're being made to pay through the teeth for a friendly.) Not going on principle. I've seen Fiorentina and I've seen Barcelona (who were a better team than RM are now) and didn't pay anywhere near that much. Are you a season ticket holder though? If so, you could get a ticket... but you're not?

tylesta Posted 18 June 2011 Posted 18 June 2011 may attend with the son, don't know as yet might just save me self for cov away as it will be only one of a handfull of games i will be able to attend.
dannythefox Posted 18 June 2011 Posted 18 June 2011 Just hoping for general sale so me and my old man can go, fingers crossed!
tylesta Posted 18 June 2011 Posted 18 June 2011 Just hoping for general sale so me and my old man can go, fingers crossed! good luck with that mate
NorthEastFox Posted 18 June 2011 Author Posted 18 June 2011 I think it is completely unfair that ST holders get any sort of priority on tickets. I dont have a ST but i still went to 18 home games last season. Just because i couldnt commit to a ST because of work, it doesnt make me any less of a fan. Why should I potentially miss out on getting a ticket. Stupid rule.
smallpauldj Posted 18 June 2011 Posted 18 June 2011 I'll be amazed if it makes gen sale, ticket office wouldn't answer phones cause they was "to busy" when I got there around 1 quewe snaking halfway around the office and everyone getting more than 1 ticket each. What's left I'm confident members will swallow up
Scow Posted 18 June 2011 Posted 18 June 2011 You get priority for committing your cash. End of. It's obviously quite a complex concept to understand for one 'fan'.
dannythefox Posted 18 June 2011 Posted 18 June 2011 I do think season ticket holders should be able to get a ticket i have no problem with that but when they can get 2 its unfair on the others.
The Doctor Posted 18 June 2011 Posted 18 June 2011 Thats why i want to sit in the away end. never done it before. 's no different from sitting in the home end. edit: I agree with dannythefox about ST holders getting 2 tickets. Not right.
NorthEastFox Posted 18 June 2011 Author Posted 18 June 2011 In response to the chap who was moaning about paying RM to play here: get a grip, do you realise how much RM are paying these players? They have to try to recover money. This is hard nosed business. RM and LCFC are tapping into our interest in the RM stars. And why not. They will probably be trying to make some money on TV too (Spain, SE Asia, Europe etc). Good luck to them to make as much money as they can.LCFC need the money for the likes of those expensive strikers that have been rumoured.
Larry_LCFC Posted 18 June 2011 Posted 18 June 2011 It's obviously quite a complex concept to understand for one 'fan'. Or not. For this match in particular, it should be on GS from the start seeing as its a PRE-season friendly. No-one should be getting priority.

What's left I'm confident members will swallow up I'd expect to be amazed then. Given the demand (and the club still haven't released membership details) they'll almost certainly reserve some for those who have to wait for general sale.

Larry_LCFC Posted 18 June 2011 Posted 18 June 2011 why it's one the biggest teams in the world!! if i was a st holder and missed out id be very pisssed off. Yeah and as a loyal non ST that still goes to most matches, i'd be pretty pissed off too. Whats the difference? I agree with what the poster said earlier. If ST get priority, it should be for 1 ticket for themselves so that the rest of us have a chance.

Money raised from season tickets contributes a significant amount to a club's finances. It's not as if the whole ground will be sold out before general sale...
Trav Le Bleu Posted 18 June 2011 Posted 18 June 2011 Are you a season ticket holder though? If so, you could get a ticket... but you're not? Just a member. (Awaits crude jokes)
The Year Of The Fox Posted 19 June 2011 Posted 19 June 2011 The bloke at the ticket office said theres 13k ST holder. Clearly if everyone bought one extra thatd make it 26k, leavin 7k ish for the rest. As 6f 1pm yesterday 2k tix had been sold. I think everyone should be fine.
Brown Fox Posted 19 June 2011 Posted 19 June 2011 The thing is by getting a season ticket you are committing your cash and by doing this people want some benefits. It may only be a pre season friendly but it's a bloody good benefit to be guaranteed a ticket and it will probably encourage more people to get season tickets. I agree if you have a season ticket you should get 1 ticket for yourself but I can understand why they're doing it.
Bugg Posted 19 June 2011 Posted 19 June 2011 Larry, you probably would have saved money by buying a season ticket instead of paying for 18 individual games.

In hindsight yes but cause of work (suppose to work saturdays) I dont know which matches I will be able to go to until a few weeks before. Last season worked out well for me but its just too risky to commit to a ST and then not be able to go
