Leicester City vs Real Madrid

Am I the only one who is NOT going to the Real Madrid game just to save money for Cov?

For me it's 20 pound - now for a 16-year-old I think that's pretty ridiculous, do you agree?

Real Madrid or not, I'm not prepared to spend 20 quid on a pre-season game. End of.

Quite happy to pay 20quid to see us pitted against stars the like of which the walkers may not see again for a long time! Dont know why everyones so bloody miserable about it!

I understand what you mean, but at the end of the day, I go to watch City not some overpaid 'prima-donnas'.

And by the way, I'm not miserable. I think it'll be great for the club, but I just think the pricing is a tad too high.

i suppose the pricing is a bit steep, but if they had reduced it too much it'll be the club missing out on valuable revenue, especially as we had to pay a fee to secure the friendly in the first place. Maybe if there had been no fee involved the club may have been more inclined to reduce prices.

beats loughborough dynamo's away so im all for it!

Is there any likely hood of you watching real play in the future? No!

Is there any likely hood of seeing us play real in your life time? No!

How often do you see top european stars at the walkers? Once a season if your lucky....

If your unhappy about paying 20 odd quid to see this then please do 1 and take your self to cov or derby!

What an idiotic statement to make. If people dont want to pay £20 for a pre season friendly that is up to them. It doesnt mean they have to go and support another club

I was suggesting that, as when will you ever see players of that talent for that price? Its hardly expensive? And if you can't appreciate the owners getting a club like madrid to come us then you may aswell give up watching football...

But in reality it's a kick about, you can go and watch them train for cheaper if you are that desperate.

Do people not remember the Barcelona friendly a few years back when we saw Valdes, Puyol, Iniesta, Xavi, Ronaldinho, Saviola and Luis Enrique for £15 a go?

Whichever way you dress this one up the Barca friendly pisses over it when you think what talent you saw that night.

So because I dont want to pay just under £30 for a pre season friendly I should forget about the team I have gone to see every week since I was about 7 years old and go and watch two of our most hated rivals instead?

When you read this stuff you realise the target audience how they get away with charging it...

15 quid a ticket, so with inflation since then 20 odd is about right, and not many people have the money to get to madrid to watch them train? How does the barce one piss over it? If real bring ronaldo, xabi alonso, ramos, they don't compare to puyol and saviola? The bit about forest and derby was simply there for tools like you to react in the way you have....BIG man

I'm 5ft 10, thats not big in this day and age. It's 30 odd a ticket not twenty. I also notice how the website has now also changed it;s text to "with Real expected to field a full strength side"...

Ronaldo yes, the others dont belong in the same company as Xavi Iniesta etc etc, Kaka probably does but I doubt he will be here and he wont have flown back from the Copa America until a couple of days before and I imagine he will get a few weeks off.

and if that comment was actually thrown in to try and make others look like "tools" I'd try a new approach.

I've got 4, 1 for myself a season ticket holder since 93/94 season and 3 for relatives who have held season tickets every season at the walkers, 1 of which has been going to games since the 60's, they all travel up from essex to every home game, but have had to give up next season due to constant price increases and fuel costs and 1 of them is a decent player himself and has been offered the chance to make a wage playing saturdays himself.

Hope they are still welcome....................................................... afterall we had enough plastics at the scunthorpe game 2 seasons ago just to see us get the L1 trophy so it's not like they won't come out the wookwork for the opening of an envelope now is it.

Dude how old are you?

You know you don't have to justify to anyone why you and your mates are going to the game!! If you want to go and don't see the price as an obstacle, then get tickets.

I wouldn't be suprised to see people turning up at the game wearing big signs detailing their history of supporting Leicester.

I wasn't justifying anything, my point is that there seems to be a lot of people assuming people using season ticket, guest tickets are in some way not real fans, however some peoples circumstances don't allow for them to be ST holders but does that make them any less of a fan.

However there does seem to be a high number of my mum fancies ronaldo or jose, posts, which must be annoying to members or general sale, as I had to sit with a right load of b£!!Ends when we played scunthorpe who hadn't been there all season. So I can understand the fustration of people feeling they are hard done to. Maybe if the club had a data base that included how many tickets you had purchased over the years they could offer a better service to those who have been going down on a regular basis.

Apparently they've sold 6000 so far, which doesn't seem so much.

Times are hard. Maybe people don't want to line millionaire's pockets for a nothing game?

1 million pounds (allegedly) / 32,000 seats = £31.25

So the prices seem quite fair.

Think of it like a massive group purchase :)
