Foxymcoxy Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 Sorry that every time big calls go against us we win the game anyway and/or don't whine about it all week, but people shouldn't let that cloud their judgement. We definitely are not being favoured.
CallySinnamon Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 This is the one that get's me... I'm almost addicted to reading it. The bitterness and delusion is astonishing http://www.dearmrlevy.com/ The blog is written by a spurs fan or also writes for the metro and 442. I couldn't help but post the 'tiki taka' Liverpool video a couple of weeks back in response to claims we play boring football.
RobHawk Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 What pisses me off most about this talk of penalty's from the Southampton game is, the referee had a great game, got all the big calls correct (including Wanyama) and has been backed by numerous ex-referees as having doing so - But instead of celebrating a referee doing well for once (it doesn't happen often enough) theres all this crap in the media and spouted by ex spurs players that is frankly nonsense - and nobody is big enough to either ignore it or stand up and call them out for talking shit. 2
newparker76 Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 Seriously they can fvck off with this, what ridiculous drivel all because Koeman spat his dummy out to deflect from his teams poor performance in front of goal. So many refs have looked at those decisions and come out and said those decisions were correct, because they were. If Ranieri had kicked up a stink over the red card for Wanyama then it would have been analysed and some would say red, some would say yellow, but because we just get on with it people don't think we have had a bad decision all season. We have had loads, but instead of whining about it we just focus on the game and not trying to influence refs. Its bad enough when partisan supporters are scraping the barrel of excuses and conspiracies to hide their embarrassment/envy/hubris, but you can at least understand why if not accept it. Pundits and journalists get paid to talk about the game as professional, impartial observers. What's their excuse?
Jamiebux Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 Wouldn't say adding 5!!!! Minutes injury time was favoring us either. 2

I couldn't help but post the 'tiki taka' Liverpool video a couple of weeks back in response to claims we play boring football. To be fair, he's clearly aware of how bitter he is and the fact he's going well over the top on stuff. "But right now, I hate that Leicester are strolling it. I hate that if I look beyond the bitterness, they are comfortable because we lost to them at the Lane. We've not found that extra level when faced with defining games, like against Liverpool (to a lesser extent) but mostly against the likes of Arsenal and West Ham. That's not to take anything away from what Mauricio Pochettino has achieved this season. What the players have achieved. It's a foundation strong enough to push us further if we continue to build on it. It's way too easy and clichéd to look back at the Newcastle and Stoke results and claim they are equally defining. At the time they were part of the learning curve. Necessary evils. We had no idea how things would pan out. LC are comfortable because as unattractive as they appear to be with style, they have a magnificent work rate and cover ground like Vikings pillaging a village. They graft. Might not be pretty, might be direct, but it gets the job done. It's good enough to see them top. Next season it might only be good enough for them to sit 5th. Adjustments to standard will also impact us. We'll discuss this again a year from now. The point is, I grudgingly accept the positions we all sit in. It's reflective of performance." 1
foxfanazer Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 Amongst all of the idiotic, ill informed and down right outrageous things written and spoken about us this season there have also been some brilliant articles and punditry. And that is from a pundit. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03q1f0n Sorry but this is a disgrace. How they can seriously talk or print that is beyond me. Shameful. We're top of the league on merit just like any previous winner of any title.

cjslcfc Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 Sky sports have at least 5 new articles on us every day I know. I think I've read probably every single one of them. It's getting to the point where it's actually irritating me a little when they tweet a new one. 1

Footballwipe Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 I feel sorry for the Spurs fans, and the Arsenal fans. I feel sorry that they can't be humble, accepting or gracious. I'm sorry for them that they cannot discuss their own shortcomings this season. Granted Tottenham haven't had too many, but enough that they're second by seven points. I totally understand some frustration from Spurs cause we're blocking their first ever realistic title charge, it's the nature of football. But they seem to have totally indoctrinated themselves with the story that we seem to have got into first place by sticking seven men on the line, hoofing the ball upfield and watching Vardy pounce. The doping theory is just plain ridiculous I mean, really ridiculous how it's somehow now a fact for a few. Some of them are so bitter and bizarrely twisted in their view that you'd expect a few of them to outright proclaim Spurs are champions even if they finish second. Airbrushing us from history. Football fans find it very hard to accept change, even when they've been demanding it for years. Sick of the established five? YES WE ARE, well here come Leicester... NO NOT THEM. It's like you're not allowed to be top, not allowed to win games 1-0, not allowed to be the best team in the league unless you've been in the top six for the last ten years. 1
foxfanazer Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 Spurs should have 'Good, just not good enough' integrated into their crest. Sums them up perfectly
foxfanazer Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 Sunderland fans are hilarious. I've missed these clowns! I don't know where they get there confidence from but it's comedy gold
kushiro Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 What I particularly like about this is that he fouls him twice, once with a shirt pull and once with a trip. Yeah - me too. This was Riyad's response at the time:
