quinny Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 looks like were going to get the best defender/player in the championship
MikeyT Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Make it £5 milion and 1p or something and it beats Akinbiyi's fee!!!
Hack Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 £5 million!! I doubt it is 5 mil straight up. Likely to be including add ons especially promotion in the next 2 seasons.
Bablemikey Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Looks promising but remember that a bid accepted does not equal a done deal.
1964FOX Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Good news, but still need to hear he has signed before I get too excited about this.
Dylan Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 He's here, he's there, he's every ****in where, Matty Mills
MikeyT Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 I doubt it is 5 mil straight up. Likely to be including add ons especially promotion in the next 2 seasons. Haha yeah i know mate. Just a bit excited right now!
JJS84 Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Mercury says mills is meeting with the reading chairman today. Why would he be having a medical here?
Liamlcfc1 Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 RobTannerMerc Rob TannerI understand Mills not having medical but fee has been accepted by Reading. Potentially a club record fee for City! Not done yet though.

Guest shearfox Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Can see Mee coming in as well, Man City are sure to sell as they have just bought another defender
Samilktray Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Signing this lad would be a huge statement to the rest of the league.
Ricey Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Make it £5 milion and 1p or something and it beats Akinbiyi's fee!!! Pretty sure Akinbiyi was £5.5m.
One Arm Babba Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Just to digress..... ..... I think i hear a few Bristol City hearts sinking. Its pretty clear that we are very serious about Maynard if we are prepared to pay £5,000,000 for Mills. I think this deal could potentially turn his head enough that we are for real.
Jon the Hat Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 You See Reading are club with some competence at the top. Negotiating in public is so low class.
Callabinho Posted 7 July 2011 Author Posted 7 July 2011 Get him down now for a medical, before wolves step in.
Les-TA-Jon Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Calm down Bid Accepted does NOT = Done Deal (remember Schmeichel Delays, CMS to Brighton etc) Might just be Leeds and Peterborough style last minute to other clubs - "Come and get him"
sdb Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 I want to go crazy but at the same time feel the need to point out this could still be hijacked/fall through. I bloody hope not, but lets not all spunk over our laptops just yet. :sge: :sge: :sge:
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Signing this lad would be a huge statement to the rest of the league. http://www.facebook.com/NPowerChampionshipBanterPage jealousy getting the better of them
Petchy Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 *Random shocked monkey image* Well, it is. £5 million for a very decent, young centre back is nothing in today's market.
