FrankieADZ Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 feeling kinda strange....could be delight...or a heart attack at the amount of money we're spendinh
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Crikey, its a lot of money. Is he really that good? is Jones that good? Man Utd paid over the odds for him, nobody doubts that, so why doubt this
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 I hope we can get Kai signed up as well that kid looks quality! Too far Tony, too far. tony?
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Hope it is a record so we can banish Akinbyi from our record books
Petchy Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 We already have Kai. He's playing for our young academy team apparantly.
accessory Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Can see Mee coming in as well, Man City are sure to sell as they have just bought another defender In which case, bye bye Bamba.
Darkon84 Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Just to digress..... ..... I think i hear a few Bristol City hearts sinking. Its pretty clear that we are very serious about Maynard if we are prepared to pay £5,000,000 for Mills. I think this deal could potentially turn his head enough that we are for real. This
Stevosevic Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 If he's not having a medical, this deal has a long way to go before being completed. Sky releasing that we have had a bid accepted will only draw attention to other clubs. No reason to get excited yet.
Happy Fox Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Who? 7 year old kid who Barca are trialling http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/8620137/Barcelona-invite-seven-year-old-British-schoolboy-Kai-Fifield-to-youth-academy-trial.html
Babylon Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 £5m is ridiculous really. But if that's who Svenis wants.....
accessory Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 We already have Kai. He's playing for our young academy team apparantly. He's seven years old, and already having his head turned by Spurs and Barca. Better get those Champions League titles sorted before he leaves school..
Dylan Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 7 year old kid who Barca are trialling http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/8620137/Barcelona-invite-seven-year-old-British-schoolboy-Kai-Fifield-to-youth-academy-trial.html Just seen him on Sky Sports News. For a 7 year old, he looks amazing. His close control and dribbling is excellent for his age. Even for a 7-year-old he has said he wants to play for Barcelona by the age of 17 like Messi!
Jon the Hat Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 If he's not having a medical, this deal has a long way to go before being completed. Sky releasing that we have had a bid accepted will only draw attention to other clubs. No reason to get excited yet. Which other clubs? It has been clear for days they were willing to sell. I doubt if they come out of the woodwork at this stage. Wolves might match it I suppose. I also doubt whether Reading would have accepted an offer from a club Mills was unwilling to join. What would be the point in that?

Sky releasing that we have had a bid accepted will only draw attention to other clubs. No reason to get excited yet. The early rumour before the bid news broke was that he IS having a medical today.
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 7 year old kid who Barca are trialling http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/8620137/Barcelona-invite-seven-year-old-British-schoolboy-Kai-Fifield-to-youth-academy-trial.html why have you put some 7 year old kid having a Barca trial in the Matt Mills thread?
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 £5m is ridiculous really. But if that's who Svenis wants..... not that money is an issue
Simmo86 Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 If Wolves are turning their noses up at Bassong for 6 million their not going to pay 5 for Mills (hopefully )
Stevosevic Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Which other clubs? It has been clear for days they were willing to sell. I doubt if they come out of the woodwork at this stage. Wolves might match it I suppose. I also doubt whether Reading would have accepted an offer from a club Mills was unwilling to join. What would be the point in that? I am mainly talking about Wolves, we know they have had bids rejected previously, so if they really do wan't him, there is no reason why they wouldn't match our offer.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 Signing this lad would be a huge statement to the rest of the league. Ya not wrong there
Corky Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 I like Reading now. We should name our stadium after their chairman.
