escos Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 i cant beleive were paying 5m for a defender, we could have got naughton I think spurs are being dicks when it comes to Naughton they apparently want £5m for him and yet only £3m for Hutton who kept him out of the team.

Who knows, Naughton may end up back here on loan and Pelts might be the backup??? The way things are going we could still take a couple of loanees in with a view to buy at the end of the season. I haven't checked. heard brief rumours of ridgewell possibly coming the other day, we're in desperate need of CB and LB, i'd imagine Ridgewell if signed would play LB? Where he played for past two years at blues premier is the obvious lure, you should get there but no garuntees, we are there and in strong position given 3x promoted sides appear to look weak (albeit i was cocky about blackpool promotion as automatic relegation space gone and that almost backfired) so we should be more likely to stay up once again

After the window shuts, and we get a week or two in to the prem season, I think there will be some pretty decent players finding themselves surplus to requirements. Could still be some quality players to come here, just later on, and on loan

They also want around £15mill for Krankjar, redknapp has way too many players at spurs! The wage bill must be terrible.

w27 Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 I think spurs are being dicks when it comes to Naughton they apparently want £5m for him and yet only £3m for Hutton who kept him out of the team. the deal with naughton and mills imo is ....... sven is building a side for promotion, realistically if promoted you need another first team imo. svens bought in couple cheap but decent options to help acheive goal 1 who will be easy shift come end mills he obviously see's as a main catalyst and someone who could well make the grade in the league above, meaning 5m deal isnt spent on just one season maybe naughton is seen as good in champ but not good enough/consistent enough in the premier if you got promoted? hence why 5m spent on him for one-two years doesnt make sense on other side of coin.....finding decent rightback can be done on the cheap, finding decent cb usually cant
