Matt Mills - SIGNED

If this comes off I expect the phone to ring in the Bristol City Chairman's office and a scary voice to say...

`My name is Sven Goran Eriksson, King of Kings:

Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!'

lol

At I time like this I think we should all spare a thought for Craig what's his face, sat in a Brighton hotel watching the sky sports news yellow banner and wondering "was that a good decision".

Looking at Gary Mills playing career, he opted to stay in the midlands after his spell with Leicester, so i am guessing most of Matt Mill's family live in the midlands.

Gary is currently the manager of York City.

They should play this in Guantanamo Bay.

My record is 27 minutes... at which point I was contemplating a fuzzy killing spree

And at that very moment, the waitress arrives with his room service. Rolls up a sleeve and reveals an anchor tattoo!

Hi Foxes – Wolves Fan Here

First off I really hope he signs for you, I don’t personally know that much about Matt Mills but we need a definant improvement at CB not a “could be” I wasn’t happy with us supposedly paying 4m for the lad let alone 5m now you’ve pushed the bar higher

But…..

I really can see wolves coming in with a late bid (supposedly guessing he’s the main cb target) I’d doubt we’d just sit back and allow him to sign for you without bid being accepted – unless we have other targets

He seems to fit our profile in “young n hungry” and his wages probably darn sight cheaper than bassong/Johnson/upson or whoever will get linked with us at cb

Now at CB he could well be the next Dann/Johnson/Jagielka/Lescott from the championship but given our position and need of improvement its big risk for us to take imo, so lets hope he signs for you guys in next 24hours

I'm not too sure that he's related to Gary

Don't spoil the moment... I'm still picturing Gary in his fox leisure short shorts.

Didn't Mills play in the same Donny Rovers team as Wellens? If so, you'd think Wellens would have a lot of good to say about us. Sven seems content with Danns, Wellens and King in the middle (rightfully so), and as current player of the year, Wellens must be a happy chappy here. All positive.

I wouldn't worry about Wolves coming back in for him!!

That sort of money represents too much of a gamble for a player with no Premier League experience and only 12 months left on his contract. It's just not the way we do our business nowadays. We just spent £5m on O'Hara who's a proven Premier League player so it just ain't gonna happen with Mills IMO.

It actually makes more sense for a club like Leicester to pay that sort of money for him as he's a proven NPC performer. It's over the odds for him but you can afford to do that at the minute.

Reading have accepted an offer for skipper Matt Mills from Championship rivals Leicester City believed to be in the region of £4.5million rising to £5.5million.

Mills returned to training with the rest of Readings first team this morning, but left the group to travel to the East Midlands for talks.

Premier League side Wolves have also courted the 24-year-old, who is out of contract next season, and have had two offers rejected. However, Mick McCarthy's side could yet return with a third bid and match Leicester.
