No.

We have one quality central midfielder, and it's King. Why sell your best player? That's not how you get promoted.

I think in order to get the best out of King we have to play 4-3-3 how ever if he isn't getting goals himself he doesn't often help create them so can't be part of a 4-4-2 in an attacking cm role for that reason, whilst I wouldn't seek to sell if we were offered anything over £5m I'd be tempted

Unless we're offered something absolutely ridiculous, then no.

I think his all-round game could do with some work, but he's bagged 15 goals in the league from midfield, aged 21/22, without taking a single set-piece.

Very intelligent player and a cracking finisher.

If Reading can get £6.25mil for Sigurdsson, we should laugh off £3mil.

This is the most stupidest poll I have seen basically you are asking '' Shall we sell our best player ? '' its not as though we are in debt or need the cash. We should be building our team around King, one of the best young midfielders in the country who is only going to get better and scores goals. :frusty:

I tell you what why were at it lets sack Sven as well as we wont need him :sge:

King isn't our best player, Gallagher and Wellens create a lot more from midfield, King is our biggest goal threat from there yes but best player no

I'm sorry, I thought we were trying to go forward as a club. I wasn't aware that selling one of our nailed-on first-teamers and Team/Club Captain furthered this aim, but if that's what you think Top and Sven should do...........

This is arguably the most retarded thread ever to have been started on here.

We have king, abe, danns, moussa, wellens & oakley as CM. Strength in depth is key, for a 48 game season (More if we get through the first round of both cups) you need at least 5/6 Centre midfielders.

If we're going to sell 1 of them, make it wellens or oakley, not king.

Not for me, we need strength and depth. Selling our best goal scoring midfielder won't get us promotion.

Agree completely. Strength in depth is crucial and having a midfielder who can score goals is worth it's weight in gold. And he's club skipper! Would we want to sell the club skipper?

Possibly the dumbest poll ever on FoxesTalk.

^^^^^ FACT ^^^^^

This thread is a load of goswollox!

WE on about our youth academy product thats established himself as

a first team player... that alone in itself makes me just wanna keep him

in the team! arewe also on about our top goal scorer last season? surely

if we're on about progressing as a team surely we should be keeping hold

of our best players and our main source of goals?!

LUDICRIOUS! :S

My new poll shall be should we play just 1 at the back? pffft

Let me say I would not sell King at the moment. His value would be at least retained over the next 12 months. However in the long term he hasn't convinced me yet that he will become anyway near as good as some on here seem to think. He is better than average, so is Wellens ( 'though I would sell him before Andy King ). I do see them spending more time on the bench this season.

I believe the players are expecting it - Andy King said as much at the end of last season ( ie that Sven will probably be using a lot more rotation of players in midfield, with the addition of new talent before next season starts ).
