dave the caveman Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 First of all I'm glad we've got some money to spend but I'm extremely displeased with how we're spending it. We're buying 27/28 year old players who might take a year to settle in; might never settle in. They're not even premiership quality players either. Seems to me like we're setting ourselves up for two or three years of championship mediocrity followed by an inevitably drastic decline once the owners get bored and jump ship leaving us with a dodgy russian oligarch wannabe and a half finished bucket of sang som and coke (ice long melted). I can see Sven leaving too once he realises that you can't get out of the championship by filling your squad full of players who have never managed to get out of the championship. But I know we can't go around snapping up premiership players because they either won't come to us or they'll be old and crap and far too reminiscent of that horrible season under Micky Adams where our average age was about 64 and we only won games because the opposition wouldn't dare tackle our players for fear of piercing a colostomy bag or, worse, finding themselves on the wrong end of an ugly rant full of phrases like "back in my day" and "you don't know you're born." The scenario appears to have dumbfounded most but I'm not one to miss a trick. What we should be doing is investing in youth. Our recent youth record has been superb. Just ask Thracian. And that's without much investment. Just imagine the quality of players our youth setup would be capable of producing if we put £13million into their hands instead of into the hands of Sven and his army of overpriced glamour boys. It's probably too late to start over now. But all I'm saying is that we should be looking for an exit route as soon as possible. If we can engineer a 'Swedengate' scandle while we're over there training we might be able to get Sven out. I was thinking Top or his dad might be able to tempt Yingluck Shinawatra over for a night out in Stockholm and she could maybe play a little game of entrapment with Sven. The Swedish casanova wouldn't think twice about making a move on her, and I'm sure with the right money being placed in the right hands a criminal charge could be brought forward, resulting in the dismissal of Sven and a fresh start for beloved Leicester City FC. I think it's an option worth bearing in mind at least, and even if we're not brave enough to pull it off we should still be looking to move on from our current failings quite soon. I'll give Sven five games and if he's not won them all I'll start calling for his head.
stix Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Wow. You MUST be on the wind up. I think only one of the five players brought in recently is over 27. None are has beens and all are experienced players at this level or very promising young players. Also...oh i cant be fvcked....
Leicester_Loyal Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 I do wish FT would develop a willy puller emote.
General Smuts Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Im not even going to dignify that with a response. Except that i am. You massive cocktard,
Happy Fox Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Dave are you enjoying your life in seclusion how are the bears treating you
Stevosevic Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Is this a joke? If so, not funny. If it's not a joke, sort yourself out.
Courua Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Would you be Thracian by any chance? Seriously though, are you insane, depressed, thick or just from another club and winding us up? Take off the blinkers my (twatfaced) friend and enjoy the revolution. Youth is for developing, can you name a Starting 11 of youth players? No, course you cant. Can you name us 5 players that you would have promoted from the youth team that would also get us promoted to the prem rather than making those signings? No, of course you cant. Can you rely on youth for an entire season, having seen what happened with our inexperienced loan players last season? No, of course you cant. Can you dissect a toad with your permanently angry, confused and mildly bewildered stare, yes, yes you can, please go and chillout and enjoy the fact your wrong to suggest that those signings are not for the benifit of the team and that Sven doesn't seem to know what he's doing. Mr T. says the obvious
Courua Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Oh, and why oh why are you saying this when your post in sven haters all gone quiet was 'I'm very pleased with the signings Sven has been making and in particular their age.' amongst the other drivel you were saying??????? Had a longh weekend on the party and now all doom and gloom?

Amin Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 I don't know whats funnier, the OP or the posters who fell for it!
Larry_LCFC Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 I don't know whats funnier, the OP or the posters who fell for it! I was thinking the same thing. It just got funnier as I read through it. See what having no football season is doing to people. It should be criminal to deprive us of it.

coale39 Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Cmon, this has to be a joke. I especially liked this bit horrible season under Micky Adams where our average age was about 64 and we only won games because the opposition wouldn't dare tackle our players for fear of piercing a colostomy bag or, worse, finding themselves on the wrong end of an ugly rant full of phrases like "back in my day" and "you don't know you're born."
