Leicester City vs Bursaspor match thread

We haven't got a goalscorer still,

Waghorn = cack

Howard = past it

Nugent = Not a 20 goal a season striker

Thats what will cost us next season and he'll panic and loan about 15 crap forwards like he did last season.

Also our midfielder still looks flat, they haven't got that killer ball.

Okay fine Nugent is injured. But however, our chance creation is shocking. We don't even have the balls to just shoot once in a while. There was a few times when our players were 30-20 yards away from goal. Just have a go, seeing as we can't put a decent ball into the box

No flair going forward, and that needs sorting asap with a decent winger. We also need a striker with an eye for goal. Defensively I thought we looked pretty decent and quite solid.

Shite game though. but the clean sheet will add some confidence.

i tend to agree with all of that - it was nice to not see us leaking goals but where is the creativity in midfield? and we still don't seem to have adequately replaced yakubu.

one other thought - is waghorn really the best set piece/corner taker we have? if so it could be another long season of missed opportunities there - i can't understand why Yuki isn't given a go when he's playing.

Yup. You pretty much sum it up.

Sven has some serious business to attend to if we're going to make any kind of a challenge this season.

Not enough keeping it on the deck. Feel Gally should have drifted into the hole more and tried to dictate a bit like he can do when games are flat. Couple of times we looked dangerous when we used one touch passing, no real commitment in the end though, some looked a bit shy.

Still, not bad. And an awful atmosphere against a similarly pedestrian team doesn't help matters.

I forgot the season started tomorrow.

We're doomed!

Gallagher is.

Here we go, cc_star and phildw carrying the flag of pessimism high.

Nice to hear the usual dross from the usual suspects.

Obviously you can't read my comment

and judging by the other 100 comments my comment was possibly glowing in praise

The second was always going patchy in comparison to the fluidity of the first. We had wholesale changes throughout.

My concern is the aggression. If that's a picture of 'passion' then we really are going to need a big squad. It's great that everyone is sticking up for each other. Bonding through adversity etc, but I do think that if teams get a whiff of this, certain players will be targeted specifically to get them sent off.

If we sign Pantsil I don't think Peltier will be starting. In my view the only threats Bursaspor made were when Peltier was caught wanting and out of position down the right hand side...He's a decent player but not 1st team as of yet imo. Leakest link in a strong defence atm.

I thought we looked solid against a good side. Pre-season will never set the world alight, but its more minutes in the legs. Still hopeful Routledge will sign, and another striker we will need. Clean sheet always a plus. Overall 6.5/10 :scarf:

What a bunch of prats. It's only a fooking friendly. Every pre-season the clowns come out with this sort of shite just because City don't put on a five star show in what is just a glorified run around. Get a grip or you'll be topping yourselves when something goes wrong in a proper match.

Only watched an hour so until my stream stopped working but I thought it was lacklustre (from both sides), maybe the travelling yesterday had an effect. Thought we started second half quite well, forced a few mistakes by Waghorn, Vassell and Abe closing down their defence but we never looked like scoring. Mills was encouraging though from what I saw, Konchesky solid defensively and Kasper doing ok as well.

I've missed the synchronised wrist slitting when we don't smash teams 5-0 on here. Really.

Guys, cmon we are unbeaten in pre-season (played Turkish Champions, La Liga sides) and thats a positive. Yes, this was a bit of a bore but I think the manager is trying to see what combinations are working etc. This isn't about winning or putting in a brilliant performance, but yet the 'passshhuun' was there atleast in standing up to the Turkish lads!

Conclusion: Need a forward or two!

Calm down people, Jesus!

So it was a boring pre-season 0-0, no need to go on some panic trip! Sven knows what is still needed and he will work on sorting out the last pieces of the jigsaw puzzle...

Are people actually allowed to put some constructive criticism on here or do we all have to come on after every match shouting we were brilliant and we are going to walk the league.

There is nothing wrong in pointing out where we have problems after watching a game.... :unsure:

On the plus side it was our first clean sheet.. and i wanted it to be a boring draw cos i had some cash on it :ph34r:
