Just reported that West ham are signing Matty Taylor from Bolton, add him to Nolan and Parker (at the moment ) and they have strong midfield

Carlton Cole will be staying now the stoke deal has fell flat - if he gets his head right he is a top player

they have a pretty strong side for next year, our biggest rivals for automatic promotion

oh and forest have announced Jimmy floyd Hasselbank as coach so they will also be in there :crylaugh: that last bits a joke

im more concerned about our team and pre season etc to be honest.

But yes, whatever team west ham put out they will be strong with big sam.

Their squad is stronger than ours?

We've known that for ages, not sure it needs a thread of it's own.

Should i start a thread stating that our squad is stronger than Coventry's?

To be fair there starting eleven is the strongest in the league by a mile.

Having a pretty decent sized bet on West Ham to win the league.

Parker and Nolan in midfield.

Nolan, Parker and to a lesser extent Faye aside I don't see a lot to be scared of.

Respect them yes, but fear them no.

They're the biggest threat in the league but Bellamy is a better player than any of them and hardly destroyed the league as most expected him to.

ooh its brutal in here  merely pointing out that some are getting carried away and think we are going to run away with it

I should have stayed on the Maynard thread and played word association

Have a look in the Bursaspor match thread. Nobody's getting carried away in there

Half the Championship battle is learning how to cope with the pace and aggression, regardless of the squad you have. We'll see whether West Ham can cope with Championship life in a few weeks time I guess.

Mark Noble will be frightening at this level too. We will need to get our heads down to do battle with West Ham, but we shouldn't be over-awed as we're bringing in good players ourselves.

Whilst they've got that clown green in goal, and a crap defence in general I'm not too bothered. West ham will be a threat but so will loadsa teams! Parker won't be there at the start of the season and Taylor isn't any great shakes.

Matt Taylor. Bah!!!

Good left foot on him, but often gets crowded out. If you dont let him have time/space on the ball he is a very inaffective footballer. Parker is not going to be at West Ham in 6 weeks time. He'll be off to Villa/spurs.

I'm very happy with how our midfield is shaping up this season. We have no reason to fear any team in this league.

As I've said before, not hugely afraid of West Ham, yes they've signed Nolan and maybe Taylor. They've also lost the likes of Demba Ba etc. Anyway, even with those players, don't forget they still managed to finish below Blackpool!

They got a creditable though undeserved win against FC Copenhagen today. Worth noting that Copenhagen have already started the season.
