No, really, the atmosphere is shite. I was on the second to top row and got told to sit down by some old mongoles on the top row because they wanted to sit and couldn't see. Our end is full of boring w*nkers for the day.

That was me and Neil Sr at the Watford away day last year :sweating: The old man's not an avid football fan by any stretch of the imagination and although I gave it a bit of :chant: and :scarf:, it was impossible to get carried away with him next to me - despite the best efforts of some boozed up teens on my other side

Spare a thought for those who can't let go no matter how much they'd like to :dunno:

Like I said in my first post I know people on this forum hate the Grecques or Poznan however I'm going to create a facebook group to try and advertise it more. All our fans in unity at Coventry away and the start of something new, THIS WILL MAKE OUR FANS LOUD.

You are my Leicester.

Got to admit though, I'd be slightly pissed off if I'd paid to see the game where I didn't want to stand, and either had to miss it or be forced to get up, because someone in front of me made sure that I couldn't see anything. Not everyone likes standing!

The only game in recent memory where I've had to sit down was Cov away 2009.

Reckon it will happen again this Saturday only being halfway up the stand!

Same here mate, pretty sure it was the last game I sat down. <_<

Maybe it'll be different this time though eh?

Well, if you want to sit down you don't sit on the top row do you? Espescially when there were plenty of empty seats around lower down.

Just out of curiosity why do people prefer to sit than to stand?

For me, Sitting stifles the enjoyment, i feel that others around me are more sedate, its more like attending the theatre than a football match, i feel the tension and excitmenet is raised when all are standing... it is also easier to sing loud when standing and people seem to be more involved when standing. There is nothing like being on a terrace when the whole crowd surges or sways as one. To me, its the way football is meant to be watched, that said, there should also be an option for sitting for those that are unable or do not wish to stand.

Agree with you wholeheartedly on that one, when your standing, your protrusion of voice comes over and you feel alive

Yeah, I'l admit that's a fair point.

As for sitting/standing debate? Depends how I feel on the day.

All 6000 tickets sold out:( I'm just going to get a ticket on the day and sit with the home fans, they should have plently left! Just make sure I don't celebrate when the foxes scores

I will be there, attending, so I doubt the atmosphere will improve, I always sit in silence!!!

But to be honest, there so much expectancy etc, if the side don't perform, i can see the atmosphere change very quickly!!

If people around me stand, I'm happy standing. No problem about it.

Same vice versa

I don't think people should be ridiculed for wanting to sit. A lot of people are physically unable to stand, a large majority of 'die-hard' fans are elderly.

I've been a season ticket holder for the past 12 or so years, and come to games with my dad, who is knocking on a bit now (he'll kill me if he saw that), and he wouldn't be able to stand for 90 minutes solid.

I understand if your unable to stand for long periods why you'd wish to sit. But just the other week I saw a group of lads (teenages) sitting down on a terrace. I just find it baffling.

I prefer sitting, but if everyone else is standing, i'm willing to stand!!!

Possibly because they aint as healthy as you and are unnable to stand for the entire game

I had this discussion with my Dad the other day.

We came to the conclusion that it all depends how you were brought up into football, I've sat every season, my Dad has also sat, even in his younger days. So I guess I'd choose to sit :dunno:

If I were going to the game with a group of mates I would stand though.

Hopefully it will be different....can't see it though, 6000 tickets sold = Daytrippers which in turn = atmosphere like MK Dons!!!
