Ashley Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 Hello fellow Foxestalkers. Last season the Fosse Boys started doing the Grecques/Poznan, which wasnt recognised by our fans at first. It took untill January and the visit of Man City in the FA Cup for people to realise what they were trying to achieve. Anyway to my point; In previous seasons our visits to Coventry have been great numbers wise but singing wise(from both sets of fans) have been very poor. Leading some comments about 'day trippers, ******, prawn sandwich brigade' etc. This year at Coventry my idea is before or just the after players come out, even just a few seconds before kick off is for the majority of our end to turn the backs and unite in the Grecques/Poznan. This along with the singing of the carnival de paris song will go on to create a good/great atmosphere for our fans for the game ahead. This could possibly lead to us doing the same thing before all home, away games next season. ** - I do realise people on this forum, find the Grecques/Poznan 'cringeworthy' etc and i'll be shot down for this however I personally thinks its a good idea, join in people lets get behind the lads at Coventry. Here is to a good season, In sven we trust.

ealingfox Posted 28 July 2011 Posted 28 July 2011 Would it not look the same if everyone was facing forward? I must be missing something, I always enjoyed joining in the times I was there for us doing it (despite the fact its not our idea) but was always annoyed that I had to turn around.

I think this is a good idea to the point where you state that we should do something but 'That Lad From Japan' has a point... do something unique! We have a few weeks to come up with an idea and spread the word! If we can get a good idea generator going then we can really come up with something! THEN we can speak to LCFC and try to get a bit of funding or the supporters trust and get loads of instructions copied so we all know what to do Tack you very much! :sge: :sge:

However, I'd prefer a massive flag, banner, thing which says "Cov Scum" on it., and we pass it round. One which could fit a decent amount of people underneath it Quick 5 min thing in PS: Any volunteers to bring one in?

(Probably not but we are very unadventurous) It won't happen sadly, 100 people do it from this thread, what about all the others? Like I say I like your ideas but ultimately a thread on a forum won't change that, and even more sadly with our support I think there's hardly anything that'll change it.

I know we kinda do it like that in the kop, but with the words of leicester, I think we need to do summit like that but keep it as that song, when say the players are taking their positions on the field???

Maybe it could work at away games, im not sure. My mine point is we need a chant at the start of all home/away matches to get the crowd going. (I know jobber, trys and does "LEICESTER clap clap clap etc...." but at times its half-hearted efforts espicailly when were playing someone like S****horpe (no offence) If any of you guys went Forest last season, for me the music before the teams came out was good, added extra tension, but the "underdog" one does not IMO. Maybe have a good music before the teams come out and a massive flag going around the stadium ( I loved that when I was a kid, "were in it together!" ) Maybe the Birch comes out before the match and shouts at us to give us motivation behind the team, (like runs over to the Kop "GET BEHIND THEM" etc) how bout all 3 above? just suggestions
