Corky Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Is it too cringey/inappropriate to sing goinupupup pre game ? May look silly later .. Yes.
CosbehFox Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011  I will miss this game because I'm on holiday. Why do we really need to start the season early england wont win the euros. My first game this season will be Bristol City home. Will be watching this on sky though. It was the same last season and the year before.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 wheres best to park for the game, does anyone know?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 I got a ticket for Raw Dykes Road, which is across the road from the ground. I parked on Brazil Street before and with no fines etc, which is relatively near. (5 minute walk) Sounds like Leicester not Coventry
promised land Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Can't wait for this now, can anyone remember how many we took to man city last season, According to a Man City programme after the game 5714. Not bad for a midweek away game.

Ashley Posted 29 July 2011 Author Posted 29 July 2011 Like I said in my first post I know people on this forum hate the Grecques or Poznan however I'm going to create a facebook group to try and advertise it more. All our fans in unity at Coventry away and the start of something new, THIS WILL MAKE OUR FANS LOUD. You are my Leicester.
Finchy Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 First day of the season, over 6000 of us, hopefully around 24000 Cov fans, if we can't make this day a good atmosphere there really is no rivalry whatsoever.
Liam Newcombe 95 Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Hoping it'll be a good atmoshpere, we should give it a good go! Anyway, does anyone know whereabouts row H is? Low? Mid? I know it isn't top. So hopefully people will join in down at the bottom!
The Voice Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 cant wait for this game, come on Leicester please win this game my mate is a cov fan pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase, my life will be destroyed after all the money we have spent and they are shit, on a note though they have gotta be strigging i know we all hate him but marlon king leavin and the iceland/sewdish guy gunnarson going they have got to be in the smelly stuff and they have only signed two goalies.
acooling08 Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 I'm hoping the general consensus of Cov away being dead is just the usual pessimism of FT. First game of the season, local 'derby', and 6'000 travelling. Reckon we'll win this game too, so hopefully the atmosphere will be good and everyone will stand throughout.
Jakemoore Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 It'll be my first time at Cov away so naturally I'm buzzing, living in London I don't see us play regularly and therefore sing throughout each and ever game I go too, hopefully I'll be joined by 5, 999 city fans!! Come on Leicester!!

Ash Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 I cant wait for this game, atmosphere was brilliant last year and im expecting it to be even better this year and a better score
lcfc"weasel" Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 I cant wait for this game, atmosphere was brilliant last year and im expecting it to be even better this year and a better score I'd hate to see bad if Cov away last year had 'brilliant' atmosphere.
The Doctor Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 well no not really, because that IMO is an epic fail they play the song, like 10mins before the match start at home. Maybe it could work at away games, im not sure. My mine point is we need a chant at the start of all home/away matches to get the crowd going. (I know jobber, trys and does "LEICESTER clap clap clap etc...." but at times its half-hearted efforts espicailly when were playing someone like S****horpe (no offence) If any of you guys went Forest last season, for me the music before the teams came out was good, added extra tension, but the "underdog" one does not IMO. Maybe have a good music before the teams come out and a massive flag going around the stadium ( I loved that when I was a kid, "were in it together!" ) Maybe the Birch comes out before the match and shouts at us to give us motivation behind the team, (like runs over to the Kop "GET BEHIND THEM" etc) how bout all 3 above? just suggestions hold on, are you saying the club needs to motivate the fans to get them to get behind the team they support? How about, since we support Leicester, we get behind the team anyway, regardless of what the club do or do not do?

I'd hate to see bad if Cov away last year had 'brilliant' atmosphere. It was dreadful in 2009 and woeful in 2008. Apparently you got one of the better Cov away days, think yourself lucky. That said, I don't think the fact we've never won at the shithole helps. With a bit more optimism around this year; if we go there and win it could be more than our first win at the Ricoh, it could be the first decent atmosphere.

Come on Leicester!! My first Cov away game aswell buddy, and after 32 years of following the City thats embarrasing to admit!!! I am mucho looking forward to this game, hoping Leicester fans make the atmosphere as good as possible
maynefox Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 hold on, are you saying the club needs to motivate the fans to get them to get behind the team they support? How about, since we support Leicester, we get behind the team anyway, regardless of what the club do or do not do? No, I had no intention of going along the lines of that. I fully respect every single Leicester fans own Unique way to get behind the team and to be motivated. But if you look back to what the topic was originally on about, I was suggestion ways to improve the Atmosphere. Because when someone says to me "get behind the team" or "get behind your mate running in the race!" I would shout and cheer to MOTIVATE, right? I wouldnt exactly stand and sway in the wind, or if your sitting down then your not swaying.....Anyway because someone said "we need to motivate our fans to support the players" I suggest some ways to do some chants etc. I understand people have their ways of supporting and tbh i dont want another thread about it. Im not saying people who just sit, arnt motivated, of course not. Im certainly not on hear to have a dig at certain people on here, if thats what your wondering???
Happy Fox Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 The atmosphere should be buzzing, I for one will sing my heart out for the team

No, really, the atmosphere is shite. I was on the second to top row and got told to sit down by some old mongoles on the top row because they wanted to sit and couldn't see. Our end is full of boring w*nkers for the day.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 The atmosphere should be buzzing, I for one will sing my heart out for the team agreed there buddy
