We aren't as big a pull currently as you seem to think.
Happy Fox Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Stop. Please. Never going to happen. We aren't as big a pull currently as you seem to think. Well if Wigan bid for him why can't we?
topharry123 Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Just seen a lot of posts on Twitter about him going to LA Galaxy. Worth throwing out there. There's always a chance people jump the gun when papers say things are practically done. If this summer has taught us anything, it's that there's no point getting excited until the player you want to see in a City shirt is holding the thing up on the OS (and even then I'm still a bit sceptical). Origin appears to be this from Shaka Hislop: "Hearing that Robbie Keane is on a flight to LA Galaxy as we speak. SFX have the deal already done by all accounts." Don't see him going to the Galaxy. In the mls they have a salary cap, and only three designated players can be paid more than this. La already have Beckham, Donovan and Angel who are paid more than this, so Keane could be paid a maximum of $335k a year to be there, or $6,442 per week. Not happening i'l go out on a limb and give them a 0% chance of signing him UNLESS Angel leaves in the next 48 hours.
Happy Fox Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Ooops there still may be hope http://twitter.com/#!/reporterdarragh reporterdarragh Darragh Murphy Robbie Keane to Leicester City it seems. Wages must have trumped desire to stay in top flight. Blackburn/LA Galaxy still interested #lcfc

He scored regularly in the PL for West Brom last season, what an earth would motivate him to drop down a division when he's not even reached his peak yet?
m00nie Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 On a flight to la according to shaka hislops twitter well hes meant to be at teh game tomorrow so cant see him doing both.. if we see him at the ground guess that will tell us something
Happy Fox Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 reporterdarragh Darragh Murphy @ @MDelaneyST about La Galaxy? Trap said an MSL move wouldn't affect international future. Callabinho Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Seems he maybe off to LA then, so much for big signing!

Fez of Mahrez Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Mark Donaldson of ESPN says it's a two-year deal for Robbie Keane at LA Galaxy - "lucrative deal worth $9million over next 2 years"
Happy Fox Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 What other strikers are out there who we could realistically get?
topharry123 Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 I'm hearing over here that Angel is being offered to other clubs !! Maybe he is on his way to LA after all....will be pretty gutted if he doesn;t sign for us, it really looked like it was picking up steam the last day or two!
Adster Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 klose ? hes on a free Signed for Lazio in the Serie A.
Salieri Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 So we don't get Robbie Keane? So fvcking what?! There's a lot on here who need to calm the fvck down! I'm sure Sven will sort something out soon, in the meantime we have Nugent, Waghorn, Vassell, Gallagher, Schlupp, Howard (and even Kermorgant) who can do a job up front. Bear in mind we only seem to play one out and out striker it's not exactly panic stations yet.
Happy Fox Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 What is David Trezuguet up to these days, I heard he was a free agent?
Salieri Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Voldermort? Tempremental, could disrupt team morale, but maybe worth a punt. What is David Trezuguet up to these days, I heard he was a free agent? Swans and Villa reported to be interested, little to no chance I reckon.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Mark Donaldson of ESPN says it's a two-year deal for Robbie Keane at LA Galaxy - "lucrative deal worth $9million over next 2 years" I am confused. Ids he going there on a free or are LA Galxy paying a £4m fee like we were reported as well as the wages?
