Jobyfox Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 We are not getting Keane he is off to LA Galaxy Why did you go and ruin it for him!
Salieri Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Hopefully that lad will get us 15+ goals We already have a 'promising youngster' on our books, rather give him a chance.
Happy Fox Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 @SportsLab Alex Labidou A source from #LAGalaxy said this is the first time that he's heard anything about Robbie Keane, which means rumor is probably bogus ppl Fourth_Official Fourth Official A source at LA Galaxy says he knows nothing about Robbie Keane signing for the club via @SportsLab
Ashley Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 So has or hasn't he gone LA Galaxy? Edit: Still open then. Hope he does come to us!
Jobyfox Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Hopefully that lad will get us 15+ goals It makes me laugh that every striker we're linked to is evaluated against whether they can score 20 goals a season. This is even sometimes supported by a mathematical equation to illustrate the point. 1 every other game in the Scottish PL 1 every 10 games in the PL One every 2.76 games in League 1 Hmmmm ... after the evaluating all the evidence I believe that in the Champioship "......." will score precisely one goal every 2.66666666666 (recurring) games. That's about 17 goals. Nah don't want him he's shit!
m00nie Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 @SportsLab Alex Labidou A source from #LAGalaxy said this is the first time that he's heard anything about Robbie Keane, which means rumor is probably bogus ppl sky sports news ran the story so they seem too quick off the mark for a false rumour??
ajthefox Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 @SportsLab Alex Labidou A source from #LAGalaxy said this is the first time that he's heard anything about Robbie Keane, which means rumor is probably bogus ppl Or the source is just not as in the loop as he'd like to believe. Equally possible.
escos Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 sky sports news ran the story so they seem too quick off the mark for a false rumour?? Sky ran the Bamba to Blackburn rumour too!
Joe. Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 When will people learn not to take every rumour as gospel?

Happy Fox Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 When will people learn not to take every rumour as gospel? That is part of the transfer fun, highly emotive game
1994fox Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 We should take everything that has not been confirmed by an official source with a huge pinch of salt. But then again that's just boring. KEANO!!
Toffee_Fox Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 sky sports news ran the story so they seem too quick off the mark for a false rumour?? The same SSN who tweeted this morning he was coming to us?

Jobyfox Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Thinking about it: Footballers usually go to America for one last big pay cheque. It's basically admitting your career is over when you're mid-thirties. Keane is only 31. I'd have thought he'd have one more challenge in English football before he chased the big bucks stateside?
Salieri Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 We may be getting Keane who knows:dunno: Pathetic edit!
Joe. Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Not talking about Keane to us, I was pretty suckered into that with all the credible sources touting it around. Just in general, people such as yourself hear a rumour and run with it. Annoying.
Happy Fox Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Pathetic edit! Spur on the moment, best just wait till it is official either way, or until Stringer pops up with a tweet confirming or denying the link
Joe. Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Sky haven't even said Galaxy are getting him, they've only said they want him. Just like us.
Jobyfox Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Spur on the moment, best just wait till it is official either way, or until Stringer pops up with a tweet confirming or denying the link I believe that I am actually the most credible source. I get all my information from the Official Site.
Salieri Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Spur on the moment, best just wait till it is official either way, or until Stringer pops up with a tweet confirming or denying the link Or, you could have just left your post as it was and not worried about looking like a dick? It's only an internet football forum, don't worry too much about your 'credibility'!

Most sensible comment of the last 10 pages.
