Miltonfox Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 It is a little known fact that when he was growing up in Dublin, Robert – he's 31, too old to still be calling himself "Robbie" – Keane had posters of Gordon Banks, Gary Lineker and Ade Akinbiyi on his bedroom wall. Now Keane's dreams are set to become a reality. A boyhood fan of Leicester City, the Irish striker is going to hotfoot it out of White Hart Lane and join Sven-Goran Eriksson's side for £3m and will inevitably score a last-minute winner when his new side plays West Ham this season, before doing one of those really lame somersaults, followed by those silly shooty fingers. There was a chance of him becoming a boyhood fan of Blackburn Rovers, but Venky's have CHICKENED OUT OF A DEAL. Tee-hee! It's funny because they make chicken. Leicester are also after Everton's Victor Anichebe and Bristol City's Nicky Maynard. What's Michael Ricketts up to these days? http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/aug/12/arsenal-jadson-transfer-rumour-mill Unsure if this has already been posted - and it is a load of drivle but still... its relevant. Corky Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 This would be a lovely bit of business Sven. O'My God.
Happy Fox Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Tweet this guy for spurs info he is quite reliable http://twitter.com/#!/Mike_THFC
Bellend Sebastian Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 He has a melted-cheese face. He has a face like a traumatised blancmange. Anyway, Robbie Keane. I think he's great
blueredswed Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 I would love to seeing Keane playing for us It is good times for the Blue :scarf:
RowlattsFox Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Considering we wouldn't break a salary cap for Yakubu, I assume Keane must be taking a massive pay cut to come here, if indeed he does. I personally want to see him play for us before commenting on whether he's going to score the goals required, I've never been a massive fan of his but at this level who knows. Didn't everyone expect Bellamy to score a hatful last season? and how many did he manage? Very similar level of players in my opinion.

Bellamy played as a winger mainly and got 11 goals in 30 app I think Keane would at least get 20 goals if he is our central striker
RumbleFox Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Surely this isn't happening is it? My good god I am excited!!! I have "little rumble" in my hand and have kept myself in a state of "near finalisation" for the past few hours. If this happens I'm going over the edge and my mouth will be full of my own juices. Like a weird Ouroboros! Come on Robbie!!! You know you want to!!! X
FRASER Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Well Ron, I would have preferred Long, who has the attributes to do well, but that was not to be. His partnership with Cox at WB will be fine for me on a national point of view, however Keane will do well here given the right service. He'll also provide plenty of opportunities to those around him too. Keane + loan striker = high chances of promotion. dont ya mean keane + nugent + schlupp keane will be makingof this kid :sge:
bmt Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Very skeptical of this happening, would love to see him here though. Top, top player.

psychonaut Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Just been down the KPS to try the home shirt on, the fit and quality of the shirt is crap. There is a 4 inch gap between my stomach and the shirt. Just wanted to rant. Anyway for all those that are doubting RK's ability now he is old and past it here are his celtic goals from 1 season ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taY2AbDwhtc&NR=1
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Keaney would be a tremendous addition to our squad, quite capable of twenty goals plus in a season. Experience, skill, and hopefully a burning desire to prove himself, again.
bmt Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 What is their to be skeptical about have faith in the power :sge: and the Thais, if they want Keane they will work their bollocks of to bring him here Suspect a lower half prem side will come in. Happy days if not.

Anyway, I want Robbie Keane to join anyway but I just thought I would say that the worst of strikers can score in the SPL haha!
