Rusko187 Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Linked in The Merc today! Sure I read somewhere he was linked to go abroad as part of a big deal.
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 suppose to be unveiled today at the match.. we had an 8.5m bid accepted for an unknown premier league player yesterday apparently.
RizLCFC Posted 30 July 2011 Author Posted 30 July 2011 Hardly a suprise. Spurs desperate to get rid of him and Sven was linked with him in January too
sdb Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 If we've bid £8.5mill for a player, it had better not be Robbie Keane, who;d be available for half that amount.
Fox92 Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 I read somewhere that QPR wanted him as well, might have just been paper talk though. Good signing though if he joined Leicester, not for 8.5million though. Seems abit over-priced
Callabinho Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 £8.5 is overpriced how ever he would tear this league apart like wet tissue paper.
RizLCFC Posted 30 July 2011 Author Posted 30 July 2011 Pretty sure Sven wouldn't bid £8.5 million on him, that figure would be best linked with Shane Long
SPF07 Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 8.5 million for keane, that would be funny! If we have bid that amount for anyone (which I doubt) I would be very surprised if it's him as I'm sure they would off load at half that. That aside, he would be a Very good addition.
He's not bald Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 £8.5 is overpriced how ever he would tear this league apart like wet tissue paper. And wouldn't it be sweet if he signs and then scores the winner against Chav City next week!
RizLCFC Posted 30 July 2011 Author Posted 30 July 2011 Presume it would be a loan deal, not saying we haven't got the cash to buy him outright!
80footgiraffe Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 suppose to be unveiled today at the match.. we had an 8.5m bid accepted for an unknown premier league player yesterday apparently. yeah heard that too. I genuinely think Robbie Keane will be unveiled at half time in a city shirt. Would be great :scarf:
FoxTrott Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 I would prefer Robbie Keane to both Long and Maynard. He would do an absolute job in this division, not getting any younger but he would greatly increase our chance of promotion and therefore make us a more attractive club to come to. Re the whole number of 8.5 million, might be 4 million + wages? PLEASEBETRUE!
Raw Dykes Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Presume it would be a loan deal, not saying we haven't got the cash to buy him outright! If we're spending £8.5m, then I should bloody well hope it's permanent! I'd prefer it if we got him on a cheaper loan deal, but then it's not my money, and he would be abso****inglutely immense in this division.
North-LondonFox Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Would be a bloody great signing, but surely even Arry culdn't flog him for £8.5m! Would be good as a goal scorere and a leader, which is quite important given the volume of signings this summer.
Guest Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Did he really do much last season? I'd rather go for Long or Maynard or some other striker on the way up. hoped the 8.5m offer was for Dafoe.
Happy Fox Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Did he really do much last season? I'd rather go for Long or Maynard or some other striker on the way up. hoped the 8.5m offer was for Dafoe. Keane is a proven prem striker these don't grow on trees he would easily bag 20 goals plus with the right service
Ash Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Great player and would scoe for fun in this league but £8.5m is way too much for him, how old is he now 30+?
Guest Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Keane is a proven prem striker these don't grow on trees he would easily bag 20 goals plus with the right service I think he WAS a proven Prem scorer I'm not so sure you can say that now. People are hating on Long because he scored loads last season but nothing before. Keane scored little last season and lots before. I know which trend I prefer.
kingfox Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 This is getting even better. Robbie Keane to Leicester City yes please
Happy Fox Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 I think he WAS a proven Prem scorer I'm not so sure you can say that now. People are hating on Long because he scored loads last season but nothing before. Keane scored little last season and lots before. I know which trend I prefer. I don't really mind really who we get whether it be Long or Keane or even both all I know is that they would score a hatful of chances at this level
dannythefox Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Robbie Keane would score for fun he's a goal scorer and a work horse but I don't think Sven would be stupid enough to pay 8.5M.
Happy Fox Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Robbie Keane would score for fun he's a goal scorer and a work horse but I don't think Sven would be stupid enough to pay 8.5M. Robbie Keane I would imagine would cost 5m tops
