lcfcnoely Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 Why would he be pissed off? Hes come here knowing that if he gets fit he'll get first team action, I think he'll be pretty grateful. Well if you listen to his interview when he joins he says he feels the fittest he's felt for a long time and he is fully fit do surely that's a reason for him to feel pissed off ? If he feels he's fit.

If he feels he's fit. Well he has gone to see a specialist so no he understands he still has a fair way to go until he is fully fit. Once he is though I'm sure he will destroy this league.

If he feels he's fit. He's a proffesional footballer, and for all his troubles he's probably had goons in the street everywhere he goes telling him how sh*t he is. So that interview (first propper one in years), was probably sending a message out to the haters. As we clearly saw in Real Madrid and Rotherham where he featured, he looked way off fitness. For all the ways he's been damaged over the years, as you can see by his speach and appearance, the 'Specialist' training will help him recover quicker. He may still be a month or two off, but when he gets games after all of this, we will see his true colours, and prove to be a great asset to the team.

If he feels he's fit. I think he was just saying he's nearly there after spending so long on the sidelines. I wouldn't worry - he won't be expecting to go straight into the first team when he's not fully fit. Sven would be nuts to promise him that he plays even when he's still got a lot of training to do. We all know, Sven included, that a fully fit Michael Johnson has got to be one of the best players at the club, if not the best. The reason MJ isn't playing isn't because Sven doesn't rate him, it's because he's not fully fit yet.
LCFC_4212 Posted 29 August 2011 Posted 29 August 2011 Does anybody know why Michael Johnson is not playing? If he is not match fit, when is he gonna be ready?
jonthefox Posted 29 August 2011 Posted 29 August 2011 He looks about a stone over weight to me. If he can lose that, then i reckon weve a decent player on our hands.
leicesterisme Posted 29 August 2011 Posted 29 August 2011 Someone said he's out for 2 weeks with an injury in another thread.
Wherethefoxhat? Posted 29 August 2011 Posted 29 August 2011 Does anybody know why Michael Johnson is not playing? If he is not match fit, when is he gonna be ready? No .......don't have that info. at hand ..... Try SGE & FAZ !!
cc_star Posted 29 August 2011 Posted 29 August 2011 Does anybody know why Michael Johnson is not playing? If he is not match fit, when is he gonna be ready? Can't see him getting a game if Wellens pulls more games out of the bag like Forest & Saints 1st half. Shame the team folds around him in the 2nd half

Joethemightyone Posted 29 August 2011 Posted 29 August 2011 Wellens slows down every attack constantly. Johnson might allow us to break fast! If all goes well the Cardiff Cup Match shouldd be his next appearances I hope.
Tuna Posted 29 August 2011 Posted 29 August 2011 What is the ****ing point of Johnson anyway? He's unfit - we have no reserve team - I know, loan him out....oh wait, we are loaning him. How does he get match fit?

How does he get match fit? Exactly. I don't see the point in having him here. Ok, he maybe a good player but we have many central midfielders who I'd rather pick, he isn't fit and looks overweight. I just hope we arn't paying anything to him or Manchester City.
John Matrix Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 They do this thing in the week...I forget what it's called. Oh, that's it.... training As amusing as i found that. there's a massive difference between match fitness and training fitness
davelcfc100 Posted 14 September 2011 Posted 14 September 2011 Any1 heard any news on the johnson situation yet? surely hes going to be in the side soon?
Bugg Posted 14 September 2011 Posted 14 September 2011 Any1 heard any news on the johnson situation yet? surely hes going to be in the side soon? He played the full 90 in a reserve friendly the other day, hopefully he'll be ready soon.

Number 6 Posted 14 September 2011 Posted 14 September 2011 Think Johnson will be important for us this year. Definitely has the potential the be the signing of the summer. Hopefully he starts getting 20-30 mins a game soon before being fully introduced.

Hopefully he starts getting 20-30 mins a game soon before being fully introduced. I think this 5 subs rule has been a real pain in the arse, it means we can't put him on the bench for the possibility of a 30 minute cameo because we need to have a fit CM on the bench without much flexibility.
Fox92 Posted 14 September 2011 Posted 14 September 2011 Didn't impress me that much at Rotherham. Hope we arn't paying him any wages. Haven't seen him since Rotherham, obviously, but he looked overweight a little. Theres no doubt he was technically gifted at Manchester City, I just hope he carries that into the side if he ever plays.
Corky Posted 14 September 2011 Posted 14 September 2011 He'll probably get a game in the cup next week.
Dan Posted 14 September 2011 Posted 14 September 2011 He'll probably get a game in the cup next week. Aye Sven did say something about him targetting that game. I never really saw Johnson at Man City, everyone seems to rave about him.
Bausor Posted 14 September 2011 Posted 14 September 2011 He'll probably get a game in the cup next week. Yeah thats what i have read
