Will look pretty sh1t when other teams see you doing it. So you've been singing it for 2 years? We've been singing it for about 60 years (maybe more) and it seems a few teams now do it since Spurs started singing it on TV so often. Will you be adopting Blue moon, Never walk alone or Forever blowing bubbles? These are iconic and traditional to their respective teams too. And they weren't taking the piss? I'm pretty sure there's a video up of Man City fans singing "what the fuckin' hell is that" at the Lech Poznan fans doing it.

I can't speak for everyone but my Connolly chant was usually "STOP WHINGING AT YOUR TEAM-MATES AND GET AFTER THE BALL YOU PR!CK" Wasn't really a chant come to think of it.... (He's done alright for you boys to be fair, but I never took to him when he was with us)

They are original in that sence that nobody here ever did it. They adopted it. You lot just saw it and copied. Just like you have with 'Oh when the saints..' Next you'll be singing your own version of 'You'll never walk alone'. Come up with something yourself. Something that has a tie with LCFC. We sing that more than any other chant as it's OUR chant. It's the chant that is associated with our club more than any other. We also sing it better than any other club who have their own version (although Spurs do it well recently) You know as well as I do we sang plenty of other chants. Just off the top of my head (to shut you up) I can think of... 2 Lallana chants Old lang syne version of come on you reds Rickie Lambers song Kalvin Davis song When I was just a little boy... We all follow Southampton... Woolston Ferry All Southampton Ole Guly Jose Fonte baby Live in a sh1thole... shall we sing a song for you David Connolly chant All this despite being in a losing position for 91 mintues. Anyway, to get the thread back on track. It did make conceeding a goal a lot funnier when we saw you doing that. No, you didn't sing all that lot yesterday.

Izzet is God Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 I personally don't think it's the best celebration in the world purely because you may miss a kick-off goal striaght after.....having said that, it is creating more atmosphere at the KP so why the hell not!!! So what if Man City started it before us...it's been going on in Eastern Europe for ages. The reason it came about was because it was an organised celebration conducted by members of the Fanbase who instruct their Kops from the front of the stand with their backs to the pitch! Just let those that want to do it, carry on. I do love the 'move like bernie' suggestion!
