Deucalion Posted 28 February 2013 Posted 28 February 2013 I can't find any evidence of that anywhere, if you are talking about internationally agreed continents it is in the North American Continent, the only real question I can find is when you define continents by tectonic plates, but that only relates to whether or not the Caribbean plate should be classed as continent or sub continent, but this doesn't include Mexico, only Guatemala, Honduras, Belize, El Salvador, Nigaragua, Costa Rica and Panama. My belief is that in Europe, Mexico is considered to be part of North America, whereas in other places, notably South America, it is considered to be part of South America. I think in the USA it is taught that Mexico is part of North America. On a map it looks to make more sense for Mexico to be part of North America but politically, culturally and economically it is far more similar to South America. I've just spent all of 4 minutes looking for some kind of source to back up what I am saying but I failed to. I believe what I am saying to be true but the possibility remains that I am talking complete b********s. How's that young lad getting on then?

He's unlikely to play if he did and honestly if the kid was really any good there are plenty of S American sides who would have had a good look by now.
