Needs to bulk up Not a personal attack but this post is a microcosm of everything wrong with football in this country. Focus on physicality and power. Why shouldn't a lad who's quite slight be able to play in England? Waghorn is built like a brick shit house and he's been crap since he started resembling Schwarzenegger.

How do you think he would cope against Big Wes? In fairness, Knockaert is not a big lad at all. He's slight and short, yet can make any Championship defender look utterly silly on his day. If Larrauri has similar technical attributes, there is no reason why he can't do the same.

I don't think someone that plays as a winger / attacking midfielder necessarily needs to be some sort of unit - the likes of Mata, Silva, Kagawa, Iniesta, Oscar etc are all very slight and do their jobs superbly. It all depends on where somebody plays, for me. I often think that those who "hit the gym" to excess compromise other facets of their game.

He's had two loans, one in Mexico and one in his native Peru, with no competitive first team games in two years. I hope I'm wrong of course, because it did seem at one point as though he had enormous potential.

Why do people keep knocking on about the boy at all? We sign players for the development squad all the time, they float about for a year or two and they vanish and nobody really pays any mind. Is the hype for this kid PURELY because he's South American or has he banged in a hattrick in some friendly I somehow missed?
