purpleronnie Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 I think Arsenal will finish above Liverpool.
Haydos Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 Wow Gervinho is....staggeringly average. Lloyd Dyer Mark II
MC Prussian Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 There is a "Let's all laugh at Arsenal" thread somewhere... Ask Phube for directions...
Guest MattP Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 I think Arsenal will finish above Liverpool. They will, whilst Wenger is there they will finish top 4. It's incredible what he has done there, he has laid the foundations of a successful football club for the next 60-70 years.
Phube Posted 20 August 2011 Author Posted 20 August 2011 I'll link the original and the best when the game's over!!
Phube Posted 20 August 2011 Author Posted 20 August 2011 And after nearly 2 years..... RESURRECTION!!! One word.... one Emoticon: Arsénal Edit: Wow, this thread is now 5 years old, which, incidentally, is less than the number of years it has been since they won a trophy! I wonder how many posts in here assured me that their brand of "best football in the Premiership" would undoubtedly win some thing soon!! He he
Corky Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 This is a very tough season for Arsenal, it's the first time Wenger's style has been properly questioned and with top players leaving and not really being replaced so the heat is very much on.
FoxyPV Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 How did I not know about this?! I've wasted so much Arsenal and Wenger based hatred on other topics.
Matt Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 This is a very tough season for Arsenal, it's the first time Wenger's style has been properly questioned and with top players leaving and not really being replaced so the heat is very much on. Is it? Because me and Phube (And fellow Arsenal/Wenger bashers) have clearly questioned it and took note, while others come out with the cliched 'They are the best footballing side'. They may be the best footballing side, according to some people, but it clearly doesn't win you games and competitions does it. I've been saying it/questioning it for years.
Raw Dykes Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 Well this is a nice thread! I don't know anyone who dislikes Arse-Anal and Arseing Whinger as much as me. Brilliant! Nice to see them finally falling to pieces. Hopefully this is just the start. If they don't get some world-class players in by the end of the month, I think they're ****ed. They'll struggle to get in the top 4, then they'll struggle to keep their best players even more than they are now. Top 4 will be both Manchester clubs, Chelsea and Liverpool with any luck.
Amin Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 Arsenal are still my favourite prem team, I don't understand why they are so disliked.

And just why do you rejoice at the prospect of another Manchester club in the top 4?
Jaspa Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 Wenger looked disturbed during the game, bout ripping his hair out. Does he think his time at Arsenal it nearly over? Or is he just emphasizing the amount of stress on the club right now?
Raw Dykes Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 And just why do you rejoice at the prospect of another Manchester club in the top 4? I don't! I just hope Arse anal don't get in the Champions League, and that's the most realistic top 4 without them. In a perfect world, the top 4 in the PL this season would be Man City (just to annoy plastic glory-grabbing Man Utd. fans), Villa (for the midlands), Newcastle (I like the accent) and Spurs (to annoy Arse anal).
Bob Farley Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 Shame about arsenal really, I quite like the club system.
Phube Posted 21 August 2011 Author Posted 21 August 2011 Shame about arsenal really, I quite like the club system. What buying young foreigners at the expense of home grown players! Well each to their own!

Properly questioned as in fans, journalists etc.
accessory Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 And just why do you rejoice at the prospect of another Manchester club in the top 4? Better 2 Manchester clubs than 2 London ones.. Wenger has lost the plot and his petulance is reflected in his team, hence three suspensions in the first two games. If Udinese beat them on Wednesday it may actually do them a favour, as they would settle better in the Europa League than the Champions League right now.

If Udinese beat them on Wednesday it may actually do them a favour, as they would settle better in the Europa League than the Champions League right now. Really? Why? Two sets of plastic fans enjoying success? On top of that, it's rather likely that Tottenham would be the top candidate to trump Arsenal for a CL spot, so two London clubs is still a huge possibility. I realize that we're doing a Man City 'lite' currently, but the way their club has distorted world football is obscene. I guess it was always coming, but I'd certainly choose Arsenal and what they've done to promote the Premier League every single day of the week. It's hypocrisy of the highest order to point the finger at Wenger, his personality and behaviour when Ferguson and Mourinho have been in leagues of their own.
shen Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 What buying young foreigners at the expense of home grown players! Well each to their own! Yeah, because no other top clubs buy young foreign talent these days Also quite ironic seeing as Walcott, Ramsey, Gibbs and Wilshere are currently all involved in the senior national sides while Lansbury and Oxlade-Chamberlain are involved in the youth sides. Frimpong too has international experience. Hypocrisy strikes again. What he's clearly alluding to is Wenger's insistence on youth and the way the club teaches them to play. Fair enough if you want to have a knock at that for whatever reason...
